Worth the money
I’ve been a big fan of Altra lone peak shoes for while now. I have size 15 UK feet which are also quite wide so finding shoes is extremely difficult for me. I have previously owned multiple pairs of lone peak 4s and now it’s getting increasingly difficult to get these so I decided to upgrade to these. I was not disappointed. These shoes are so comfortable I could wear them all day. They also really lightweight, which means that your feet and legs don’t ache after a long hike.I have never had a blister In any lone peak shoe and the same stands for these, Even when your feet are soaking wet. They have good grip and dry out really quickly. The quality is great and compared to the lone peak 4 Shoes where there was a weak point at the front where the mesh used to deteriorate, I am yet to find anything wrong with these so far.Definitely the best hiking shoe brand out there.

Great zero-drop trail runners
My first experience with Altra but they are just what I was hoping for and comfortable right away. My feet are medium-wide but the standard fit was fine in my normal size, with a generous conventional lacing system and a wide toe box. The grip is excellent and gives me some confidence on muddy paths. When I took up running I went for zero heel drop shoes because the "barefoot" style was all the rage then. Honestly, the number of times people tell me I should be careful with my knees, or they used to run but it hurt their knees, or they know someone who used to do a lot of running and now has bad knees... well you get the idea. That and "are you training for a marathon"? No, I'm not!13 years on, I'm still running 10 to 15km a week, and my knees are fine thank you, so maybe there is something to this running style. It could be due to less shock travelling up from the heel. You certainly develop strong, springy calf muscles so perhaps that's the reason. It's also nice to be able to bound upstairs two steps at a time in my 60s, LOL.

Peak performance.
I'm not a runner but I have wide flat feet and these are the best fitting and feeling trainers I've had..beating my favoured Topo' by some distance.

Perfect fit
I tried all the other Altra foot shape shoes.I thought why not, I’ll give these a blast.Well, they’re perfect.Gone to 11.5 from 11 and there has never been a comfier shoe on my feet.Well, vibram fivefingers perhaps. But for a “normal” shoe they’re amazing.

Super comfy.
Great for walking, not just trail running. Good price for a quality product.

fall apart within a few months
this specific year model compared to previous years has heat laminated toe cap protection that starts to delaminate after very little use and peels away. this is not even in a wear use area. i would recomend skipping this model as mentioned previous models are great and the first pair had a sewn toe cap and i have worn them to no grip on the sole with no issues in construted material use. gaynors as the seller does not seem to understand faulty materials in manufcature as i was refused a refund. after only having them less than the return window time frame not impressed they seem to have gone down hill as a bussiness wont be bying from them again. this after having bought from them for over 18 years so dissapointed.
