This stuff is fantastic for vegetarians or vegans. I contsantly have it on hand. I use it to make gravy or as a base for soups. It's super high quality stuff and tastes like beef. Which is wild to me. You get a ton of servings in the little jar, so while it might seem a little pricey, it's not and even if it was, it's worth the price. Ingredients are stellar, easy to use, just measure what you need and mix it into whatever you're making.

Better Than Bouillon lives up to its name and this no beef version is no exception. Rich, savory flavor that actually tastes like something rather than just salty water. Hard to believe it's fully vegan because it has that depth you'd expect from a real beef broth. A little goes a long way so one jar lasts a long time. Great for soups, stews, gravies, deglazing a pan, adding to rice, whatever you need a flavor boost for. Having it on hand in the fridge means you always have a base ready without storing cartons of broth. If you cook regularly and haven't switched to Better Than Bouillon yet this is a good place to start. The vegan version doesn't compromise on flavor at all.

The No Beef Base is amazing, but that’s to be expected from BTB. Using this in the marinade for “beefy” flavor was a definite improvement. My “beef” broccoli was very good.

I purchased Better Than Bouillon No Beef Base Vegetarian for my daughter who hasn't eaten meat for over three years. She's a college student who will have her own kitchen this year and I came upon this product while looking for products she might like to have on hand. I decided to use my Instant Pot to make a veggie soup last night, using this product as the base. I took 1tsp and placed it into 8 ounces of boiling water. NOTE: The base has a tar-like consistency, so it's tough to get an exact measurement and boiling hot water is important because it needs that heat to dissolve. Make sure to clean the rim of the jar before storing in the refrigerator or you'll have a tough time getting the jar lid off. I tasted it and was delighted to find that it tasted 'better than' beef bouillon! Amazing stuff really. It uses onions, carrots, and celery along with other magic to create a taste that is spot on - even for a carnivore like me. Beef-like flavor is wonderful and I think most beef-eaters like me would find it tough to tell the difference. The soup was a hit, and both my daughter and I are excited to use this product to make gravy, add to stir fry, and to add additional richness and flavor to soups and burgers. It's expensive by comparison to cubes, but really delicious!

This stuff makes my seitan taste so much better. I wish it weren't so high in sodium, but the umami is rich.

Really rich and tasty! I use it all the time to make tofu "beef" crumbles, soy curls and in soups! I use it quite often when cooking so give my meals an umami oopf!

Not very protected when shipped but the product itself is wonderful.

This is a vegetable alternative to meat. All the taste but no animal products. So yummy.

I used this to make vegan "ground beef" the flavour was there! This stuff is great and I will buy it again for sure. It's a thick liquid and you will have to keep it in the fridge after opwning.
