Nice 7 string
Great 7 string for a js series. Sounds good needed a little bit of a set up but plays nice

Great guitar for the price
I was pretty impressed with this guitar. I almost passed on it because of a bad review, but this guitar's fit and finish is really nice. All the hardware looks good, the frets are nicely dressed, and there aren't any mars or dings. The finish on the guitar is unusual but cool, looking like a matte or satin finish on the body. The neck finish feels slick. It arrived with good intonation but I may need to do some bridge or neck adjustment to get rid of some fret buzz. That's not a big deal and was expected. One thing about this 7-string guitar is that the wider neck is heavy, so this guitar really wants to neck dive. Get yourself a wide leather strap to help control that.

Worth every penny
I didn't have high hopes for the price, but this thing plays and looks like a dream. Pinches and chuggs for miles and miles. Great sounding pickups. Very light guitar. A tiny bit of fret buzz, but nothing a quick setup can't fix. Honestly, you could buy a $5K guitar and need a setup.I'm so impressed I'm going to buy a 6 string version as well.

Sounds like butt
Everything came in okay, nothing visibly wrong with the guitar. But it sounds like a 1950s tubular radio. And just for an example, my 2007 Ibenez sounds like a dream, with the same Amp, same peddle, same everything. I'm not sure if I'm missing something.

This guitar is complete trash
guess there's a list of things, the shipping box from Adorama was totally undamaged, and said STOP if there's any damage. Inside was an already open box from Jackson, also undamaged. Inside this was the guitar. btw I've been a music teacher and guitar tech for over 30 years. this was a purchase for my teaching studio.1, broken neck pocket2. super sharp fret ends, literally the sharpest I've ever seen, will scratch skin.3. screws installed with power drill, cammed out heads, stripped wood4. phillips head mark in neck finish (whoops someone's drill slipped)5. loose neck - all 4 neck pocket screws stripped body wood (toothpicks installed not kidding) - 2 of 4 heads cammed out with power drill.6. paint chipped on jack plate7. holy crap!8. truss rod cover too big and forced on with edge bent up on the nut9. screw hole in electronic cavity completely blown out and a glob of wood putty used as a patch which extends into the cavity by over .5 inch10... this is ridicculous Jackson. Adorama. Much shame on the manufacturer for producing such nonsense and shame on Adorama for inspecting it and selling it anyway in a open box for new price. The "problem with order" button can't address these sorts of problems so I'm posting this review for now.I should keep it to show students what to watch out for when buying new guitars.

Great cheap 7
The other review on this almost discouraged me from getting this but it is sick for a daily player.
