Sturdi Products Sturdibag Small Pet Carrier, Hot Pink

My issue with a lot of carriers, that I viewed in stores, is that our cats use their paws like fingers and I KNOW they'd be able to open many of the carriers that we looked at. The zippers on these bags are very sturdy and have tough clips for each opening to secure the zippers CLOSED (close the zippers and put the clip through the opening at the base, not the tips, of each zipper pull, both of them together - it will keep the opening closed). The mesh and fabric likewise is claw proof. We had to carry three cats on an international, 14 hours plus flight ... which they did not appreciate... and not only did these carriers defy their escape attempts, the various flaps allowed each cat to get attention and/or be hidden as needed. The carriers fit well under an economy plus seat, although you obviously lose foot room. Many flights will no longer allow pets in business class simply because there is no 'under seat' space. Because the carriers are flexible, it was also easier to pick the whole carrier to comfort the yowling cats. Animals cannot be removed from the carrier in flight, so I had to hold two of them, in carrier (petting them through the mesh), for the bulk of the flight, and I appreciated being able to move the carriers easily in the cramped space. The padding was soft on the inside for the cats' comfort, and the straps made carrying the bags easy on us... which is appreciated as we obviously had other bags to carry as well. One cat was carried comfortable by our 11yo through airports in this carrier. And after the trip? (plus a few vet trips beforehand) These carriers still look like new. Do be aware that assembling them is not exactly easy, but it's still worth it. The outside pocket is not huge, but is big enough to hold a small canvas leash, and something else small, like a baggie of food, or other small items, like a toy or collapsible water dish. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this carrier to replace a much older carrier that snapped top to bottom, but was not allowed for travel. The carrier is roomy enough for a small pet and comes with a short leash that allows your pet to move the full length of the carrier. There are plenty of vents/ roll down flaps to allow the animal to see out and for air flow. There's even an opening on top if you want to allow your animal to stick their head out while transporting or to reach in and comfort. There are several pockets to place paperwork or treats. I used this carrier to transport my pet on American Airlines. I had aisle seats on both flights. On one flight the carrier fit lengthwise under the seat in front of me with no problems. On the return flight the aisle seat had a short space lengthwise and the carrier had to go in the long way instead. This caused it to stick out from under the seat in front of me, but the flight attendants didn't flag it as a problem. While I loved the carrier, the only drawback that I could see was that when my cat became scared she did what most animals do and relieved herself. As I moved her there was some leakage. I was able to sop up the leak and the bedding that came with the carrier did the rest. Cleaning it was easy. I just threw the bedding in the wash at my destination and hand washed the outer shell. The carrier is flexible if the height is a little over the airlines dimensions. The length is not flexible, so be sure of your airlines dimensions before purchasing. Everyone who has seen this carrier from the airline to my vet has commented on what a nice carrier this is. I agree.

We got this for our 10 lb chihuahua mix so that he could travel w/ us by car and plane (and so that we could take him on public transportation in our city). This is a great carrier, sturdibags are very well made, I like the top vents so I can see my dog from above and the fact that they flex down. My dog is very comfortable in the carrier, the pad is cushy enough for him and he likes to curl up in his den (if it's out at home, he actually will go hang out in there instead of his hard sided crate sometimes). It's fairly light and easy to carry-- the shoulder strap helps as well. I would definitely recommend this carrier, although if you're going with a large (rather than the small), get it in black so it's less obvious that it's slightly larger than regulation. The small is awesome, so if you're dog fits in it I DEFINITELY recommend it.

We returned this carrier because it was too small for our dog. The description says it's for toy dogs up to 12 pounds but our 8 lb poodle mix did not fit in it, if being able to turn around is the criteria. So measure your animal and be sure they're not more than 10-11 inches tall. Otherwise, the design and construction are very well thought out and executed. We went with the Sherpa sport since it was between this in a size small and a size medium. This one in a small would be excellent on most airplanes because it is designed to be pushed under the seat easily. Based on dimensions, the larger sizes of the SturdiBag might not be allowed on some airlines.

This pet carrier is wonderful. We used it to transport our pet bunny in cabin (under seat) on a United Airlines flight. We chose it because she loves to gnaw and rip at things, and all of the mesh on this carrier can be covered up with the fabric- so if she'd ripped a hole in the mesh, she couldn't escape. But...she didn't bite at the mesh at all. I think that's because it's a dense, sturdy mesh rather than a flimsy mesh or one with big holes. So that was great. Because the mesh is dense, it isn't easy to see through, which makes this carrier very discreet. Most people could not even tell we were carrying a rabbit (this was a plus when we were in the Uber). It looks just like a duffle bag. As I mentioned earlier, each mesh section can also be covered with fabric. This was great because we could just expose the mesh she needed for breathability, and leave the rest covered so she could feel like she was safely burrowed. We could pet her through a zippered opening in the top or on one side. The bag itself is light and sturdy, with both a rigid bottom and a wonderful soft pad. I would highly recommend this for any pet.

We bought two of these for two of our cats in the fall of 2021. Since then we had travelled through 10+ countries and 20+ flights with our cats and never had problems. Great quality, very much recommended.

I use it to travel IN THE CABIN from Paris to Mexico by Airfrance it fits very well.

Super great structure, and very light! Durable as well. Our small papillon did not fit to stand in there, so wouldn't recommend for that breed. Was size approved by our airline, fits okay under a plane seat.

Carrier worked extremely well for our cat Olive. She is 13 years old and basically she slept from beginning to end of flight Toronto to Victoria. She also used carrier as her bed while away from home. Carrier was very easy to put together except the rods at the top and this required some strength. The top zipped area allowed me to give her food and water before and after flight. The carrier is light weight and Olive is only 8 lbs, so this made it easy to carry on board and stow under the seat in front.
