Yes, it has batteries included. My granddaughter liked it. I bought it for her birthday.

Does it bend for neck support?

It doesn't bend. It's made of a firm foam. There's also a long rod in the center that extends throughout. It provides vibration for the pillow. It's conveniently designed, however, and can easily be removed.
