When recording there is a lot of static on all of the tiny talker too we purchased. is there a way to make that stop or adjust the volume?

Not that I know of. I make sure to be in a quiet room with no noise and try my best to speak loud.

Where are the instructions for this?

No instructions. I bought two at different times. First one came ready to use. With the second one I had to record the words on each button. Good because it now had nana’s voice. Hold the button that says record and speak at the talker

Not fit for purpose

I would not recommend this product. Bought it for my child who is non verbal to use as a travel communication device. When you record your own messages the feedback sound is very off putting and distracts you from what is being said. This item isnt fit for purpose for what we needed it for unfortunately
