Fun little truck that can be used both indoors and outdoors. Also responding to John's comments...
At MSRP, it's a bit of a hard buy. However, with the recent sale price it's much more reasonable. Purchased the Grave Digger version of this Mini LMT and it's much more fun than expected (back flips all day), and can be used both indoors and outdoors with no issues. I own over a dozen RC cars/trucks and this is one of my favorites. In response to another reviewer's negative comments: 1/18 scale is so small it does not stay on its wheels without rolling over and getting stuck all too often. As a result the shark body is damaged and scuffed up more than I thought for just one drive. - Sounds like a driver issue. Top heavy design is overly unstable and not practical enough for staying on its wheels. - Again, a driver issue. Turn down the steering dual rate and lower the speed to 50% if you're a beginner. There is a long pause between forward and reverse that bothers me. - By design. Brakes first, then press again to reverse. You want instant reverse? Change the jumper setting on the ESC. However, this is set as default for beginners so you probably want to keep it set like this since you're having a hard time controlling this little guy. The outer shell has parts of rubber such as the fin and tail, but the main body is not rubber. - Again by design. Did you expect the whole body to be made of rubber? The body holding the frame underneath needs to be rigid, hence the plastic. Personally I think it's better than the normal Lexan bodies. The battery wires connect to the charger with a weak connection adapter. - Not sure what you're talking about. Connector is fine. Just don't tug on the wires itself when removing and hold onto the connector itself instead. Charger does not come with an optional cable to plug into a usb-c power source. I had to provide my own cable. - Everything you need comes in the box. If you're talking about the USB power brick, then yes it doesn't come with this. However this is something everyone with a cell phone should already have... The side pins to hold on the outer shell are weaker than the front/rear pins. - Not sure what you mean by weaker. They seem fine. The remote does not stand up on its own and just falls over. - Just lay it down on its side? Yes, it doesn't stand upright but at the same time it makes it less bulky overall. The suspension is not as good as independent suspension and feels like it's lacking for the price range. - This product is supposed to replicate a Monster Jam truck. It's supposed to have a 4-link suspension, not independent. I think you just went in buying the wrong product without doing your research. If you wanted a truck with an independent suspension, then you should have bought a Traxxas Mini Maxx. There is no place for the antenna wire to dangle on the truck. - Not sure what you mean by "dangle on the truck". The antenna is so tiny I don't see how it is an issue under the body cover. I dislike the front bumper design because the first part that hits is also the same part that links the steering together. - To each their own. The first thing to hit would probably be the nose of the body or the front tires, so not sure what you're talking about.

little truck HUGE fun
I absolutely love this truck. I have never had a hobby grade RC before but I'm kind of hooked. Bought this because my little 2 yr old loves Monster Jam trucks and the child in me thought this was the coolest/ most unique looking RC. This is not a toy for a 2 year old because its very powerful but my little guy is obsessed with it. As a result he gets his hands on it sometimes and abuses it pretty bad. Therefore I can tell you its absolutely built very well. Almost a month later of everyday use and its holding up very well. Parts are available to replace anything that breaks or if you want to upgrade. Battery life is very good if not set to 100% all of the time (you can select between 3 power modes: 50,75 & 100%). I probably get 30 minutes of fun intermittently moving between power bands (higher power makes drifts or tricks easier, lower power good for driving around home obstacles like a race track). In those 30 minutes I'd say I'm not running flat out on the trigger. I imagine if you were the battery life would be less. Fun factor is off the charts as this is a little stunt truck that can do flips easily, drive on 2 wheels (front or back), pop wheelies and fly off ramps landing perfectly. Lots of adjustability/upgradability. Ride height is adjustable. Control lets you move between power profiles and steering sharpness. I find that you have to turn the steering sharpness down if suspension is riding high and taking turns at speed else it flips easily. I have fun tweaking the car for the ride surface / situation. Anyway you absolutely can't go wrong if you want good fun. I know its pricey if you have never had something of this quality before. I'm no expert with RCs but I got this around $50 off the stated price and at that price I think its absolutely worth it. I can gather up about 5-6 lego builds and/or cheap rc cars and easily have spent what this ONE truck costs but this is infinitely more fun.

You will not be disappointed
I know you might be thinking its a little pricey for a smaller scale rc, BUT after reluctantly purchasing mine and comparing it to my other smaller scale rc's I have come to the conclusion its actually underpriced for what it is. This is no thrown together unit there was alot of R&D put into this not to mention the quality of construction and parts used right out of the box. If i were to upgrade my other monster truck rc's to the build of this stock out of the box truck I would be way past the price of the Losi. Like metal geared servo, metal differential gears, ball bearings, tires, lights, metal ujoints, internal rollcage, metal chassis and the list goes on. Oh and durability far surpasses my other rtr trucks

Beware, Battery completely discharged from factory (won’t take charge)
The truck arrived on time but with one big problem, the battery was dead. Not dead as in needed to be charged, dead as in it read 0.0v and will not take a charge. You can not just replace the battery on Amazon either, if have to return the whole vehicle. It’s an expensive truck for its size and looks great, but you have to contact horizon directly to get a replacement battery, they want pictures with a volt meter showing the battery is completely depleted (common problem with the spektrum smart battery). So if you get this on a Friday or Saturday, you’re stuck with a non working truck until you can get in queue to talk to someone. Then they don’t resolve the issue over chat. You get an email from a chatbot asking for pictures then have to submit pictures of the battery with a multimeter showing the battery is dead. Until a receive a new battery from horizon (not paying $25 for a new one that could have the same problem) I have an almost $300 paperweight. Buy from a hobby shop that can take care of you in house because getting a new battery is nightmare. Im still waiting to get the replacement battery.

Runs like a scalded dog and tough as nails.
This is in no way an indoor RC and you will crash it learning to drive it. It has 3 speed presets on the remote and even at the lowest setting, you will be running into everything in the house and probably hurting someone if it rams into them. It even comes with a warning that if you run it too slow for long, it may overheat since it requires moving air to keep cool. That being said, its a super stable and fast but the steering is super sensitive and requires a lot of practice driving as even with the steering trim on the remote, it's going to drift left of right at higher speeds, making long straightaway runs, say to line up with a ramp for jumping, very difficult. There's a reason all the promo videos are shot at skate parks with huge ramps and walls all over. The LMT is waterproof and requires large open spaces with hard ground, it does not do well on grass or gravel at all but excels on pavement, loose dirt, hard dirt, and I even ran mine wide open at the beach with no problems but I cleaned it thoroughly, asap after playing and it did surface rust some of the screws and metal fittings, but didn't hurt it functionally. You will repeatedly crash and the body and chassis can take the abuse. the hard shark body shell is thick and holds up very well, all 4 fins are rubber and act as roll bars that absorb a lot of energy when it flips over. The chassis is very high quality and holds up but very difficult to service with everything hidden and tucked within the frame if a screw or something works loose. I had difficulty replacing a driveshaft set screw at the transfer case as there is no good angle to get a screw into the driveshaft, much less the allen wrench to tighten it. Overall it is very sturdy and a heck of a lot of fun if you have the space to let it loose.

Great ready to drive monster truck.
This thing has survived mud, wet grass, gravel, high speed flips, etc. My boys love watching it go. The controller that it comes with is absolutely adequate if you're not into the hobby much. The steer servo has been surprisingly tough. The charger it ships with from Spektrum is absolute garbage. It broke after 5 charges. If you aren't into RC and don't own a charger that can handle 2S lipo, pick a good cheap one up with this kit. The scale isn't great for grass. It does great in gravel and dirt. One star deducted because of the abysmal charger.
