Great boots, not overly wide
I don't have overly wide calves, but they are big enough that wearing socks, jeans and boots can be tighter. I got these to make it easier to wear with things tucked in.They are very good for that. I would say that I am at the wider side of typical boots. I just measured mine and am about 14.5 at the biggest part. Typical boots are 14-15 so the smallest are indeed tight on me, but I can usually zip them. These aren't zip boots, just pull on. I like zips better as I don't like the toes of my socks getting pulled too much sleep ding in! But since these are wider it is ok.It is nice though that since there is no zip and they are a slouchy style, you could probably squish them further if you have bigger calves or thicker pants. They are narrow in the toe. I am a 9.5 in size and they fit me true to length. I am not a narrow, but my feet are on the narrower side of typical medium widths. And since I am getting older, I have noticed I need more room for a comfortable toe box. These are small there. It seems odd that they would be so narrow in the front as I have found most lower priced shoes to lean to the wider side (and expensive ones seem to lean narrow!) Especially with a wider calf, you'd think they would try for wider width. My daughter is bigger and would appreciate the wider calf, but I can't get her a pair of these because her feet are slightly wider (still wears medium widths, but has to try them on and many are too narrow.) So she can't wear these. For me they are pretty good with my slightly narrow feet and not skinny calves. And the heel height is great...not too high that I toddler around, but still a heel so they're dressier than flat ones. If I had to change anything (for me) it would be to make to very top of the boot a little narrower (the top of my calf isn't the biggest part...it's more in the muscle part) and to make the toe just a touch wider (especially for socks.) Of course they would be even better if they were genuine suede so they could stretch a little in the toe, but they are synthetic and won't really (but being synthetic does help with the price!)Overall, I do like them very much and have already worn them (it's November now and we have had snow already here, so it's boot weather!) I don't think they're too practical for long walking or for non-slip snow/ice wear, but more for fashion. Don't expect them to work with wider feet. I am 5'7" and have longer legs so the length wand circumference of my calf likely won't match yours and that part will fit different people differently. But if you do have boots and wish they were a little wider, these could be for you.

Great boots
Fit true to size. I love the kitten heel for all-day comfort wear. I bought these boots to wear with skirts and dresses. These are a great staple boot to add to your collection.

NOT widecalf
The 6th word in the title of these boots is 'wide calf' - they are NOT. Not even a little. I have 17" calves and these don't even come close to being able to accommodate them. These boots are solely for those with 15" calves or smaller I'd say, but that's just a guess. There is a little stretch panel inserted, but it's only maybe one inch long and very stiff, so it essentially does nothing. These would be very cute and perfectly sized if it wasn't for them advertising them as wide calf when they're not.
