My wife has a new jewelry making hobby. This tool makes foolproof loops especially for even inexperienced crafters. She went to a class and the instructor was impressed with the tool. It is easy to use it looks well made and fits the hands well. It looks as though it will last a long time.

Overall this is a good tool to use for making wire loops. It's got a solid feel and manipulates the wire easily making that part of my work a lot faster and more consistent. For that it would earn five stars, however there are two potential drawbacks: First, the arms of the pliers are set very wide apart when open so a person who has smaller than average hands, or issues with grip, may find the tool more difficult to use. I have average size hands for a woman (~8" hand span, thumb to pinkie) and while I can handle the pliers easily I have to stretch my fingers and thumb completely to grasp it while fully open. Second, the tool is designed specifically for right handed use. If you try to use it with your left hand, the front of the pliers will be facing the wrong way. It is not designed to be visible from either direction the way most pliers are. Someone with a very dominant left hand may find it more challenging to use the pliers in the right while holding the wire with the left instead. Being a lefty myself I do sometimes experience awkwardness in using them that makes me miss the mark on where I wanted the loop to be. It's not awful if I'm making eye pins, but annoying when I'm trying to make a loop beside a bead without leaving either too much or not enough space. However, using something that isn't universally designed is a pretty common experience for left handed people, so this isn't anything new. Practice helps. Both of these elements are ultimately the result of the way the pliers are designed. To change them, the entire thing would need to be rebuilt. At the same time, I wouldn't necessarily call them deal breakers. The pliers are sturdy, and they do the job they're designed to do well. However, these two elements may or may not create obstacles for users, and I wanted to point them out.

I ADORE this one step looper tool. It has totally revolutionized how I create my jewelry. I was a little bit squeamish about paying $30 for this one tool, but it was totally worth it. I didn't want to buy it cheaper from one of the knockoff sites like Temu because I wanted the real tool. This tool is absolutely worth the $30 I spent on it. And it actually came with TWO tools in the same package, (one is yellow and 2,25mm and the other one is teal that is 3.0 mm. So that was even better. I just used it to finish a pair of Irish knot earrings I am making for a jewelry set and I was so impressed with how clean and perfect the loop was that I went back and redid the other earring (that I had done by hand) to match it. It is fast becoming one of my favorite tools in my arsenal of jewelry making tools. I would highly recommend this tool...especially if you are like me and have trouble making consistent earring loops by hand.

I love this thing. I have been doing eyepins/the other side of an eyepin strung on a bead by hand, and I'm pretty okay at it but you can't beat a tool doing it the exact same way every time for you. I want one in every size, probably. It's pretty easy to use, and so far I haven't had any issues, but have only used it for one crafting session so far, with 21 gauge wire. I have had issues with it not cutting the wire HOWEVER I think that's due to the way the wire it's being put in, rather than a flaw of the tool from what I can see. That said! As someone else commented, the breadth of the tool is pretty wide. I have pretty long fingers/palms, and it was even a bit wide for me, and so I can see it being a bit of a struggle to use if you've got smaller hands. Also, it is probably common sense to some but I'm a stupid b so I will just say it... if you use this to do the other side of an eyepin or wire(so the bead will be against the edge of the tool) this thing will absolutely decimate any delicate beads that are made of glass or crystal, so you have to be careful and not press it down the whole way and finish closing the loop with pliers if you want to use it like that otherwise it may just break a chunk of your bead off lol. Overall, love it and makes things easier/quicker.
