Integrates with existing RGB system in machine to reduce software overhead
This is a great device. I'm using it on my MSI Prestiege X570 Creation board on a jrainbow port. It works like a charm requiring only the wire that comes with the device to be plugged into the device and the header on the motherboard plus one sata connection for power. It does not require power. The only limitation is that it all is treated as one zone of LED so everything is the same color. If you are using these for fans it also has connections for PWM fan control which is huge. I didn't need this aspect of the device because I'm using it for the RGB in the Thermaltake RGB fittings for water cooling so I cannot comment on how well PWM works but it is there. I wish that this device had a magnetic back instead of requiring velcro. It's minor so I didn't ding a star for the omission but my Corsair Commander Core XT devices in the machine are magnetic and it makes them easier to work with. Hopefully one day a future revision of this will have the feature too.

Perfect for MB Sync of your fans (TT Premium Sync Controller)
Swapped the x5 9 pin USB controller for this one to free up a slot for AIO control, and to sync with RGB fusion. I became extremely frustrated during install when nothing could detect this controller. After about 30 minutes of troubleshooting, I learned that I had not plugged in the other end of the DLED cable. Impressive, right? Once that was plugged in, it functions exactly as advertised for a beautiful build. It has a SATA, not a MOLEX, and requires 1 PWM controller for each 3 fans. I have another 6 expansion slots for more fans, and I have a feeling that would work with any other USB style 9 pin fan

Not for amd.
The fans are great although the support and the compatibility of them is not. Most AMD systems fail with their rgb software , most video cards also have issues and thermaltake does nothing to correct this issue. I have a zenith extreme motherboard which I thought was to blame for several crashes and glitches and found the fans to be the problem

Docking a star for velcro quality and incorrect instructions and possible flickering issue
Someone who wants to hook up their LED fans to their motherboard to sync all the lighting in their case probably cares about keeping a tidy case, so the mounting options should be something with a little bit of thought put into it. The velcro provided was poor quality, I'm skeptical if it's really 3M like the backing says. The adhesive stuck to the controller, then the velcro itself ripped off of the adhesive so now I have a sticky square on my controller but not sticky enough to hold the velcro on. I'm also disappointed that there is no other mounting options besides velcro (maybe a screw hole or two in the case to attach it somewhere, or a loop to run a zip tie through?). In the end I rigged up velcro straps around the whole thing to hold it in a convenient place. I'm also disappointed in the instructions that are out of date and/or just wrong. They said I needed to use the 3-pin RGB cable for my Gigabyte motherboard, but my z390 Aorus Master has 4-pin ARGB headers which match the 4-pin cable that came with the controller. The 4-pin cable worked fine for me. Also a minor nitpick - the cable sheathing on all of the products in this line are excessive and make them hard to route and manage well in a small area. EDIT: Coming back to add a new issue I've had. I can't 100% attribute this to the fan controller vs the motherboard, but it seems to likely be this controller. If I have another ARGB LED product plugged into my motherboard at the same time as this, the other product flickers colors once in a while. The moment I remove the fan controller from the motherboard the flickering stops. The fans from this controller never flicker no matter how many ARGB products are hooked up, but other devices flicker if connected at the same time as this controller.

Works great - only one complaint
Does great to run Thermaltake Riing Plus RGB Fans and AIOs. Every set of 3 'devices' has its own PWM hookup, so you can control the fan speeds using several fan headers on the motherboard. You do lose individual RGB lighting control, as the entire unit hooks into a single digital LED header on the motherboard. However, if you would have all of your RGB lights following the same pattern, or 'synching', this shouldn't be a problem at all. My one complaint is the connector used to connect to the LED header on the motherboard. It does not seat itself securely like other connectors I've used. It just slides onto the pins, and can easily slide back off. Since I was trying to manage my wiring, this did cause some problems with the connector sliding off just because I was moving the cable around. I did try gently spreading the pins, but either it didn't seem to help or I was too scared to really bend the pins. Once everything is set, however, and you don't move things anymore, it works great. I did have a missing cable on arrival. Called Thermaltake USA support, and they sent out the missing cable immediately and without any hassle, so I feel the support response was great.

Thermaltake has some serious issues. The company as a whole.
Product was surprisingly shipped out. I mean that exactly how I typed it. They actually shipped it. Other Thermaltake products took weeks to ship, not this item. To bad it doesn't work as intended. Thermaltake has problems all the way around, from shipping, to returns, to quality control. The fan controller has a bad port. All of my other fans work, except that one on that bad port. I imagine that's not all that's not working, as my Aura Sync can't control the fans, as this product is supposedly for. It does not function in those regards. Not the first product from Thermaltake that had some problems. I'd avoid Thermaltake until they get their act together. They make nice LOOKING products, that function great on paper, but not in real life. I regret going the thermaltake route.

The problem with this product and all the thermaltake tt rgb plus eco system products is that they are a nightmare to set up and get working. I'm several thousand in and I'm an experienced pc builder but I still can't get them to work properly whether I use Thermaltake's own software or the recommended motherboard rgb software suite. I have stalked relentlessly Thermaltake, Gigabyte and Asus forums and the problems with their stuff are well known, there are a lot of frustrated people out there. Don't go down this rabbit hole, I have lost days of my life trying to make pretty colors on an otherwise very functional rig. Danger turnaround.

Great product to sync up your fan colors with your motherboard and other Addressable RGB components. ONLY WORKS with 5V-Data-Ground headers which are digital and addressable. Gigabyte VDG is also supported. There are 9 ports for thermaltake RGB Riing Plus fans. The product works great. Just confirm your setup is compatible (WS2812B addressable RGB LED strip (5V/Data/GND))

I knew this controller wouldn't allow use of the thermaltake software, relying on your motherboard control, but it does work and fan curves can be set in bios. I just wish my original controller hadn't broken but it does an adequate job and all 4 of my ringtrio fans are now helping cool my power hungry beast!
