Fred Home Safety Invisible Magnet Lock | Hidden Childproof Cupboard and Drawer Lock | Pack of 2 Baby Safety Catches | Pure White

Having had another one of Fred's products (the double cabinet door safety lock) which did prove straightforward to install and effective in doing its job, I'm afraid this was not the case for the safety invisible magnetic lock. I've had to throw out both locks in the pack as following the instructions did not result in the two pieces of the mechanism being correctly placed. Since the 3M sticky pads obviously aren't reusable plus the guiding arms have now been removed as per instructions so there is no chance of trying again. More guidance re where to position the pieces to take into account screws and handles on the door might have helped??

Amazon keeps prompting me to talk about the adhesion and sure, it sticks exceptionally well. Unfortunately that's useless when it doesn't perform the purpose it exists for. I followed the instructions but the item has not clasped together so it does not baby proof the cupboard.
