Excellent
A very helpful book as sadly we cannot necessarily trust people - the Lord is the only One we can fully trust, and we need help in discerning relationships and knowing how to handle problems that arise.

A 'must read' for so many
Though a Christian book written to help clergy understand why some people act in such a corrosive way it will be of interest to anyone--especially in the caring profession. She deals with Transference in great detail giving many examples from her own life and others she has counselled. My only criticism is that she gives only passing comments on Projection and counter-transferrence--amplifying these issues would have been beneficial in a book of this kind.

Excellent understanding of boundaries
The author uses a lot of stories/testimonies to help understand both sides of situations. This book is vital to all Christians as we navigate how to be loving/kind like Christ but do so in a healthy manner. As people come to Christ and are being set-free, they still carry old junk. It's also good to know how to set boundaries to help them not get church-hurt.

Must read for all involved in ministry!
Many times in marriage, ministry and with relationships in general, "things can go south for unexpected reasons" and the more one does to correct the problem seems to only make it worse. There could be a relational transference occuring. This book does a great job in identifying such and provides steps to take for healthy resolution.Ron Hobelmanintegritydotmen
