'Harpers Illustrated Biochemistry'. Paperback – January 1, 2015

Used 46 years ago in med school- still the best when I need to teach basics to young doctors.

Well- written and concise. Good Illustrations. Needs some study questions. It would be nice to have power point figures as well.

Easy to read & very helpful.

Much improved and updated over prior the 26th edition we were using.

This is a major reference book in our biochem class.

For the medical field, it's coverage of medically-related biochemistry is not nearly thorough enough, althouth this is not necessarily its intended audience. Lippincott's Illustrated Review of Biochemistry is much better suited and adequate for this purpose. Covers a few extra topics, such as methods that traditional texts do not, but is not in depth enough regarding others to serve as a reference text to me.

Best biochem book

It is reader friendly. The font size can be changed. Highlight and notes to the book. It is good for a quick review of basic biochemistry for teachers and tertiary students
