So very very soft
When I ordered this, I guess I didn't realize it was actually made out of t-shirt fabric. This "yarn" is so very soft. I think it would be nice to pair it with a light weight yarn, but alone it should be fine. It crocheted very nicely. I think the price per skein, is fine for the quality of the yarn.

Was not the yarn I needed
I'm giving this one star because it was not the type of yarn I was looking for. For that reason I returned it. It may be perfect for other projects, but not for mine. Colors -- they were beautiful!!! That made me sad because the colors were exactly what I wanted and I can't find those colors in the yarn I need. : (

Good for creating dense looking items
Most of my projects use round yarn. This was my first flat yarn. It was easy enough to work with. I like how it can be used to make denser patterns like flowers. It reminds me of the yarn that I used to make hot food pads when I was a kid. I don't think I would make a blanket with this yarn, but could see it as place mats or table covers.

Perfect for a basket!
The t-shirt material yarn is not really stretchy but provides nice structure. I was able to crochet this round basket that is about 5-6” in diameter and 3” tall with one skein. It was nice to work with and builds up nicely.

Decent t-shirt yarn, but you’ll need multiple skeins for most projects.
This t-shirt yarn is accurate for both the description and depicted color. It’s soft to the touch. If you’re not familiar with t-shirt yarn, it’s yarn created by cutting strips of fabric–presumably t-shirts–and letting the strip edges naturally curl in on themselves. This means that the “yarn” will not separate into strands the way traditional yarn does, which may make it easier for novices to work with. It also means that the yarn may vary from curled “round” sections to flat “wide” sections when being worked. Whether that variation is good or bad is entirely dependent on your design and intentions, but it’s something to be aware of.In summary, this yarn is soft and accurate to its description of t-shirt yarn. Whether or not you want to work with t-shirt yarn is up to you. Keep in mind that you may need multiple skeins depending on what you plan to make with it.

I am loving the feel of working with this yarn!
I've not had a yarn of this type before. It is like a long strip of soft fabric. If you've ever cut up a t-shirt into strips that is what this reminds me of. The yarn is a good weight and thickness. I generally loom knit with two strands of typical weight acrylic yarn. I'd say a single strand of this is about equal to working with three strands of typical acrylic. It is also so much softer than acrylic but I can't say for sure if it is a good sub for it since nothing on the skein band says what it is made of. I make little preemie caps to donate and knowing what the yarn is made of is important when working with tiny, medically fragile babies so until I can verify what is is made of I won't be ordering it again for that purpose and will hang onto the caps I made with it.The colors are bright and vivid. There is no odor, the texture is luxuriously soft.
