Too sweet
The bottle is great and has lasted a long time, it really helps me drink water because it stays cold. The green apple is too sweet, I don’t care for it much. I do really appreciate that I get a bunch of vitamins in one go. It does seem kind of expensive for the how quickly I go through the pods though.

You're buying an expensive water bottle and so decent 'energy' drink.
I have to say, if this gets you to drink water, and you can afford it, it may be worth it to you. I found it to be a really well-made drink bottle that I could get from Amazon or another retailer for ~$20-$25 with ~$50 of 'water enhancer' pods included. You're paying for flavored sugar water with vitamins added in. If that works for you, go for it. For me, there are less expensive routes to go. Tea, for example. Loads of teas offer the same thing.Anyways, the review will be on the bottle and the flavoring of the water enhancer, not any perceived benefit of drinking it.Positives:Bottle--Very well made and should hold up to years of use.-Top is a standard size (this may be a rebranded bottle) as some of my random tops fit this fine.-The caps are well made and easy to clean. One is a straw top with a standard straw size so replacing it cheaply will be easy. The other is for the Vitapod to be placed in so you can shake it.-Outside finish has a great texture to it that's easy to hold even when damp.-Inside stainless shows zero signs of wear after months of use.-Easy to clean with standard bottle cleaning tools.Vitapod--I got the green apple flavor pods which thankfully taste like green apple.-There is a very, very slight medicinal aftertaste to the water. This is nothing specific to Vitapod, I get the same aftertaste from all water-enhancers I've tried over the years.-No weird ingredients.Negatives:-None, actually.Considerations:-Uses Stevia as one of the sweeteners.-Shake it a LOT! To get the most out of the flavor, and thus the water enhancer, you need to shake this, a lot!

Concept is nice
I'm terrible at getting the amount of water I need every day, so I'm constantly looking for new (easy) things to try to get me in the habit. This was a miss for me. It's a great concept, but there are some issues.First, let's talk about the function of the bottle. It comes with two different options to drink from the bottle. One option is using the lid that has a straw. You cannot use the pod function if you choose to use the straw because the straw interferes with the piece that holds the pod. What you have to do with the straw option is open the pod and pour the powder into the bottle. So...what's the point in having a fancy pod, and probably paying more for that "convenience"? The second drinking option is to use the snap top. This is the option that was made for the pod since it punctures the lid of the pod when you twist the cap on the bottle. The one thing I don't like about the snap cap is that the cap doesn't stay back, so if you're not holding the cap back as you're drinking, it falls down and smacks you in the nose.Use of the bottle and pod together: long story short, it leaked (see picture). Maybe it was the pressure of the water mixing with the powder? I noticed my hand was getting wet, so I set the bottle down on the counter and literally saw water coming out from the seal between the piece that holds the pod and the snap cap (top) piece of the bottle. When I was drinking from it, though, I didn't have any leakage issues. It just happened when I was mixing the powder and water.Let's talk taste. I purchased the orange zest ("energy") and it's a little funky, but not terrible. I find that most often when something contains vitamins and all the other good stuff, you're having to compromise taste. This was true for the orange, at least. However, I'm more apt to push past my dislike of the taste when I know it's full of stuff that's supposed to be good for me.Reordering pods: this company makes it so easy. There's a QR code to scan on the package your pods come in so you can scan and reorder straight from the Vitapod website when you're getting low. There's also a booklet that tells you all about their other flavors, and each page has a QR codes to scan and takes you straight to that flavor on their website. Really well done. All in all, the bottle leaks when first mixing, the taste isn't terrible but isn't the greatest either, you can drink from either a straw or snap cap, and the company makes it really easy to reorder. Also, at least with the purchase from Amazon here, this came with a "no postage necessary" bag so I can recycle my pods at no expense to me. A great way the company shows love for the environment.

A Convenient Way to Enhance Your Hydration
The Vitapod Water Enhancer Kit includes a 22 oz. stainless steel water bottle, a Vitapod adapter cap, and 30 Green Apple flavored pods. The water bottle is sleek, well-insulated, and the perfect size for on-the-go hydration. The Vitapod adapter seamlessly attaches to the bottle without adding significant weight. To utilize the Vitapod system, simply insert a pod into the adapter cap and twist the cap onto the bottle. The twisting action automatically punctures the pod, releasing the flavoring into the water. Shaking the bottle vigorously ensures thorough mixing of the dry and wet ingredients. Using ice-cold water may prolong the mixing process, allowing the Vitapod contents to fully dissolve. Each Vitapod contains 100mg of caffeine, along with a variety of vitamins and minerals. While I'm a fan of green apple, I found the Vitapod flavor to be slightly unpleasant. I suspect this may be due to the stevia, which I've never particularly enjoyed. Additionally, I found it puzzling that the product claims to be sugar-free, yet cane sugar is listed as the first ingredient.Overall, the Vitapod Water Enhancer Kit offers a convenient way to enhance your hydration routine. The stylish water bottle, easy-to-use Vitapod system, and added vitamins and minerals make it a worthwhile option for health-conscious individuals. However, if you're sensitive to stevia or have concerns about sugar content, you may want to consider other flavor options or seek out alternative hydration solutions.

Green Apple - 30 servings - Tart
This comes in a larger than expected box .. bigger than a shoe box.Inside (the box is wrappable and does little in giving away the contents of the box) you find the bag of pods (cut it open) .. a booklet about the different flavors ... a bag for recycling ... and a big gray boxInside the gray box, you first pull out a "magic lid" ... you screw the two parts apart and place one of the pods upside down in the cage (this took me so long to figure out) ... when you add the upper lid, it activates a cage. .... WAIT ....before you activate the magic lid, grab that standard water bottle from inside the box .. both are nestled inside tiny bubble wrapsFill this bottle with water .. or ice water ... .... the straw lid cannot be used with the pods. It's a bonus extra.I hope you can buy pods only at a reasonable price ... but this system is over $60 and outside of my price range by a LOT.I actually removed the film and put it in the cage right side up for my first try.Later, I found a video where it appeared to drop in upside down. Yep. Don't peel the top. Think Kurig here.So .. I put the pod in upside down, since there was still a lot of powder caked inside the pod. This time, when I put the top of the magic lid on, there was a click ... a claw had activated. Not sure if that removes the film (kinda yuck since it is inside the water bottle and I have to drink past it)Weird. But it worked.Still powder inside the pod.I don't like the taste of green apple - though my husband didn't mind it. I like green apples normally. But this is almost bitter.I'm waiting for the pineapple coconut flavor to arrive. I assume it will be the same system, but this is not a flavor that I'll be able to try (allergies) .. so my daughter gets to try it out for me.When you open the top to drink, the lid will flap down and knock you in the face. Awkward.Best part is the water bottle.Worst part is the price and the complete lack of instructions to know how the system works.I'm not impressed with it and I'm not a sport junkie who is willing to overpay for fancy drinks, I need something designed to keep an aging stay at home mom working and capable of keeping up with the kids and their needs.
