A great spice mix with the right amount of kick. I really like the flavor of this, it has depth and isn't just something to add some heat. So far I have added it to taco and used it as a rub on a smoked pork butt. Both turned out wonderful. Unlike other spice mixes, this isn't salting. You are adding real flavor, not sodium.

This review is for the Spanglish Asadero signature all purpose Mexican seasoning. (4.8oz)The first thing I noticed when opening the jar was the wonderful spicy aroma. It has a nice deep color, and is easy to shake out of the container onto food. It gives a nice flavor to meats like chicken and beef. I like it being an all purpose spice, because it's not inclusive to certain foods, and can be used on a variety. The most important factor for me is the low salt content, because I am watching my sodium intake.

This is an excellent seasoning. Smells and tastes great. Very nice chipotle flavoring. Very well made and high quality. Highly recommended!

The thing I tasted most in this with sugar, before any spices or even salt. What a shame. I really don’t like seasonings that have sugar unless it’s specifically for something like barbecue. That’s really the only thing I could think of using this for, and even then, I’d probably have to add hefty amounts of garlic and lemon, because I didn’t notice any notes of citrus or garlic for that matter… Really mostly just sugar.
