MegaRAID LSI SAS 9260-8i KIT 8-Port 6Gbps SAS/SATA 512MB PCI-E 2.0

After the firmware update on this device it worked fine for extending the server from 8 to 16 drive bays.This had both SAS to 4 way sata data cables for connecting the individual drives.With the 512MB cache onboard (no battery backup) it helps the drives with buffering for transfers for read and write access.Easy to install and comes with both low and high mounting brackets.

It works and does its job, it took some time to install it but after a while of working woth it we are happy.
