Bought this to replace an 8 year old HP Office Jet 6960, if the new one does as well I will be very pleased. Set up was a doddle including Wi-Fi connection with my desktop, print alignment and paper / cartridge installation. Retiring the old printer and replacing it with the new one on the HP Smart app was seamless and the nice surprise was that whilst the box advertised 3 months free instant ink, Amazon were offering an extra 2 months free (i.e 5 months) in actual fact during the set up process the app highlighted 6 months of free printing with more pages than I will ever need.. happy days! I have used Instant Ink for a number of years and have found it works well, it is possible to budget for the annual cost. Note that one way or another you are tied in to HP cartridges which is clearly highlighted on the box itself and was something I was aware of before I bought it, if you want to use 3rd party cartridges I would suggest looking for an alternative manufacturer or perhaps HP do some models without such a requirement? For me the HP / Instant Ink set up is just fine particularly as the printer was 21% off with an Amazon Spring Deal (£84), a good bit cheaper than another popular outlet (£99) and the free 6 months ink will save me at least another £27 - £30. Print quality both colour and black is excellent although I haven't used it for printing photographs as yet. All in all I would recommend this product but be aware there are some pitfalls regarding printer cartridge compatibility, for me that doesn't warrant docking a star but for others it could be a deal breaker.

It's a great printer but I had lots of problems getting it to connect with my computer on the same desk. My daughter who is very good with computers and the interne took almost two hours to get it connected, but once connected it works great. So fast but noisey.

Very good quality printing, very faster

The worst printer, scanner and copier. This simply does not work, takes forever to do anything and regularly fails to do anything, a dreadful product i wish I'd never ordered. Making mattetrs worse the HP ink subscription is just as bad. Terrible produce, do not waste your money, it just does not do the job.

Looks good. Print quality is good for text and photos on standard A4. Bad to average, the plastic of the body is thin and flimsy. Specially the paper feed out flap need to be handled carefully. The power button is not instant. I am never sure to press twice, hold down or single press. Some time the software throws a failure message before or after update or not. It's a value for money printer. How long will it last to be seen.

Printer looks great .easy to set up and get working .would recommend

We have been using this printer for the past few months and it is certainly and upgrade on our old one. It was easy to set up and connected to the wifi, but the best feature is the document feeder as my wife does a lot of photocopying and now she doesn't have to do one page at at time. This is also particularly useful when scanning. We signed up for HP Ink and it costs £6.49 per month to cover our usage.

Paper selection includes HP paper which was used but the printer did not recognise it Wrong Paper selection can account for poor quality and smears but my setting matched the choice of paper and still there was a poor end product. The ink ran out after 12 copies (yes, 12) There is an option for Instant ink and 3 months free - a major reason I went for this. BUT it is not available to Guernsey, Channel Islands so CHECK you can actually access this freebie and monthly deal BEFORE you commit to buying HP Ringing customer support is a joke and after 20minutes I was told it was the end of the person's shift so I needed to call back! Like I said in the beginning great printer but getting supplies for it could be a mission and printing not always meeting expectation.
