These look great and very expensive. As we age it is important to have preventatives to avoid dangerous falls. These look good and are functional. We placed them in a long hall where there had been several previous falls because of slick hardwood--not stairs.

Looks perfect. High quality wood railing. Easy to install. Would order again if needed.

This item arrived well packaged and included the wood railing, the two metal brackets, screws and wall anchors if you aren't screwing into studs. The brackets came wrapped in plastic so wound up that I needed a cutter and a couple minutes to gently get it out.The wood railing is pine segments that are glued together every 10 inches or so (see pic). If you are painting it that should not matter, but if you are staining or leaving natural make sure you don't mind it's not one continuous piece of wood. The brackets seem strong and the screws are long so seems like it should be durable. The instruction manual has diagrams for each step, and while it's not the best I've seen it should be helpful for most installers.My main reason for not giving it more stars is the value. For this 4ft piece of finger jointed pine railing and a couple brackets, I can go to my home store and get the same size piece, even oak, and similar brackets for much less money. If this was some intricate molding design or better wood I would rate it higher for the price.Good day.

We needed a short hand rail to mount on the wall in our garage for the steps going into house. Our garage steps are only about 4 steps high a hand rail was needed for those that are older. The most important part for me was to make sure I located the studs to be able to screw the mounts into.Mounting the hand rail was a big help to my parents who are around 80 years old. We are pleased with the look and function.
