Boy, do I love this thing! I wasn't sure I should get it, but I was making candles with a dutch oven and that was miserable. If that's what you're currently doing, just stop now and spend the $30 on this little pot. I think I could probably melt enough wax for 3 8oz candles and 3 3oz wax melt clamshells. I love that it has a pour spout. I can't explain how easy that makes things. It melts pretty quickly. On the lower setting, it probably melts 10oz of wax in less than 5 min. I set it up, throw the wax in, measure my fragrance and then use the thermometer and turn it off around 175°. It'll keep heating a little bit longer to about 180°. Set up is easy, you just plug it in. Tear down is also easy, just unplug and wipe clean. You'd have to wash it if you add the fragrance in the pot, but no biggy. If mine broke in a year, I'd cry and then buy another one.

This is a great product for the price. I have been using this to melt soy wax and it is so fast! Even the low setting works great. The high heat setting you have to be careful with when melting wax as not to burn it. This product is also easy to clean and store.

Wish I would have purchased one of these a long time ago. Works great. The only negative that reduced my rating by one star is the thermostat runs hot. The "cool" setting is 190 degrees and near the base where the heating element is located is much hotter than this. All that aside, it melts wax wonderfully. It pours easily without dribbles. Just throw the wax in and direct your attention to other activities until it is melted.

Review for the 5-piece kit. It arrived very well packaged, everything was clean, and the wax bags were unbroken. Today I worked with this kit for the first time, and I really liked it. The melter is very lightweight but feels secure when you hold it by the handle. In some reviews of these electric wax melters of the same model, I read that they heated up very quickly, so I set it to the lowest setting and kept an eye on it. When the wax was almost melted, I turned it off and let the heat finish the process. Low-melt soy wax is very easy to clean; however, high-melt soy wax is more work, but it's not because of the equipment; it's because of the type of wax itself. I have a stainless steel pitcher, and the same thing happens. I finished cleaning it with alcohol, and it looks fine. One comment, just in case someone else is as clueless as I was: I almost returned the kit with great regret because I found a small hole in the frame, thinking it was a defect and worried it might liquefy or pose a fire hazard. Before completing the return process, I thought I'd check the photos and zoom in. It does have that hole, and a tiny red light shines through it. I felt so relieved because, honestly, in my experience so far, it's been a good purchase. The wax smells good. I made a scented candle, and it turned out very pretty, even though it's not finished. It's missing some decorations, and it comes with several elements that would be more expensive if purchased separately. Overall, for the price, it's worth the purchase. The only thing I would change about this set is the spoon. It should have been made of silicone so it wouldn't scratch the inner pot of the melter. The one it comes with seems too hard, so I'll use it for something else. I had a new silicone one and replaced it, so I'm very happy to be able to comfortably make my own candles. I'll update my review if there are any changes to the equipment. But so far, 5 stars.

The heat gun cougt on fire and melted . I’m not happy at all. As a free gift it should work properly and not melt and smell when your using it.
