Bulletproof little RAID1 2.5" storage solution
I bought mine in June 2020 along with a short 3.1 v2, 10gbps C-to-C cable. I installed two Toshiba 1TB drives and set it up for mirroring. I can't say that I use it every day or even every month, but I go to it every time I need to pull or save tax files, licensing stuff, digital portfolio's, and other stuff. It's always ready, and hasn't failed me yet. This is my 2nd CineRAID drive, my first was probably 10 years or so ago. I think it was the 212 model, same quality and service, just a bit slower drives (my choice at the time since small drives with big storage were steep), and it had the 3.0 5gbps interface. I DID kill a drive in this little box, I can't remember the brand but when it died, the CineRAID alerted me and I replaced the drive under warranty. The older 212 version rebuilt the new drive without my help, and actually - it's still going strong as my backup-backup.

but its RAID0 mode is actually useless. the Akitio one
Ok, this enclosure does the job, but you need to know several issues.I used two Micron 1100 2TB and connected to USB3.1 gen 2.the pros: it's small. its the smallest enclosure on the market for dual 2.5 SATA drive. by this means its only competitor is that Akito one (sk2520).the cons: its slow. do notice that the official website provides an ATTO benchmark up to 800MB/s. However, it is not a complete result. when the transfer size goes over 12MB. the speed starting approach to the single SSD speed. in real copy environment, this enclosure does not boost your performance on its RAID0 mode (like, at all). it's true that in certain tests it will give you 800MB/s. but its RAID0 mode is actually useless. the Akitio one, in fact will give you stable 800MB/s transfer speed.I am really disappointed with this enclosure but I think I will still keep it. I prefer RAID0 but JBOD is fine to me. I think the only mode you will be using is the JBOD mode. it does offer your maximum single drive speed. I am uploading my JBOD and RAID0 test result for micron 1100 2tb*2.Anyways, RAID0 is more dangerous than JBOD. so if you do not care about risks and care less about size, and want maximum performance, go for akitio. if you want the smaller size and want to use safer JBOD mode, this one is perfect. I took points off because I saw the benchmarked speed of 800MB/s on the website and their comments, but it's not the case.===============update 8/29 (1 month later), I have experienced occasionally freeze while reading the drives. I noticed that it might be the power issue. be sure to use your usb 3.0/3.1 on the back panel. otherwise, make sure to purchase a 5v DC adapter to power up the enclosure( so sad its not included).

easy to use storage enclosure for PS4 PROS
title: Fast, easy to use storage enclosure for PS4PROS:1 Bus Powered - No AC Adapter needed2 USB 3.1 Gen 23 Built-In RAID - support RAID 0, 1, JBOD and Normal ModeI bought this for my PS4 Pro to initially use in a RAID1 but then just decided to run it in Jbod Mode because I have 1TB and 750GB drives. It works great on PS4 Pro,. I use one of the USB port in front of PS4 Pro, just one USB cable can provide enough power I highly recommend this enclosure.

It actually works.
Ok, so this isn't cheap, but it actually works. Especially on my SK P31 SSD's they work fine for Raid0 mode. I was getting 560MB/s write and 780MB/s read. It's definitely fast as I had expected and it does the job. Even on my nvme drives, I get around 800MB/s read, so for SATA SSD's I would say this is good.

Make sure you pay attention to get max out of it.
The maximum physical size of 2.5" drive this will accept is the 12.5mm. You can use two 15mm drives but do not expect to put the cover back on it.The second thing is you have to watch out for SMR drives if you want to use both drives. The SMR drives tend to have issues in multiple drive configurations. Unfortunately, most 2.5" large capacity drives are SMR and the makers tend not to advertise that.Lastly, if you use hard drives instead of SSD's, then you will definitely need to ensure you have adequate power.

So far so good. Use it on my Xbox one x
So far so good. Use it on my Xbox one x. The only problem I had was the pieces of tape of where you place the hard drives. Not sure why it was there. I took off a star because when I had two HDD, the enclosure did a terrible job at keeping them cool. However ssds are perfectly okay

Definitely needs a external power adapter
Works fine with external power adapter. With pure USB power, the results are unpredictable.

Easy to install. Working as expected.
Purchased this to make use of two spare SSDs, Did a spanned volume across two SSDs. Working great as a backup storage device.
