Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines

Recently started as a freelance illustrator and needed something to base my prices on. This book has been incredibly useful for working out what I should be charging my clients. Great resource for those who are just starting out!

I found this book a must have for any graphic designer going it alone or wanting to start a studio. The only pitfall I found when reading this is that all the pricing guides are in dollars and I assume they are all for the US marketplace. I ended up ignoring demographics and converting the prices to pounds for a rough idea of what the market rate is for particular services.I would recommend you check your local library first to see if this will be of some benefit to you!

An excellent book that tell you everything you need to know about pricing your artwork, it even comes with contract templates at he back of the book that you can use in future dealings.The only thing I would have liked to have seen is the prices in GBP and EUR as well as USD.A great book, and I highly recommend it to any artist.
