Great piano for kids, for small spaces, for fun.
We have kids ages 7, 5, and 2. Bought this piano as a family Christmas present and started piano lessons for the older two. All the kids love playing with it and discovering the different sounds and recordings. It has really inspired their curiosity and creativity. Many dance partys have resulted. Makes learning to play the piano fun for them. It's also been great for me to sit down and play again too. My husband and I spent a long time researching digital pianos. My parents own a really nice digital piano that's in the $1-2,000 range and we were considering something similar at first. We decided to go with a simpler, less expensive, more bells and whistles option. Because our children are so young and energetic we didn't want to worry about them destroying it (they've already tried playing the piano with their feet and by sitting on the keyboard despite our "hands only" rule). If you are a bit more serious about piano you might not be happy with this one. For our purposes it's perfect. My husband and I are not uuge piano players. Pros: -The keys are touch sensitive (when you push soft, plays quiet and when you push hard it plays loud) -space saver -kid friendly -lots of cool features -great value for the price Cons: -The keys don't have the same weight as real piano keys or some of the more expensive digital pianos -no foot pedals (but you can buy an accessory)

The best keyboard for the price range.
Yamaha are known for their Japanese craftsmanship. When you get something made from Japan, you are going to get quality. Okay these are made in China, but there is a Japanese company in charge making sure you get something good. If you are on a budget, do not get the more expensive model of this, you are only getting another octave to get 88 keys and few other voice instruments, and maybe some slightly better built in speakers. This keyboard sounds great and if you buy a keyboard sustain pedal, you can get an even more realistic piano tone. You can make this keyboard sound even better if you have a USB audio interface and plug it into a guitar amp. I do like to record music directly from the USB interface which gives me flawless quality when I am working with Audacity to make songs. This keyboard is BIG and has full size keys similar to a real piano, so you are definitely getting something that does not look like a kids toy. The keys are pressure sensitive, so if you want to add tone into your playing, you can make softer notes into your melodies and then when you press harder you get a more dominant sound. Hope this helps!

I simply love it
I am a beginner. I bought it because I wanted my kids (7 and 4) to learn how to play piano. Moreover, I wanted to learn too. So, now, my 7 years old and myself are learning. We are using "Simply Piano" app and we both are learning fast and having a lot of fun. I recommend this application to learn... at least from scratch. It seems to be pretty cool even for experienced people (but, I still don't know) I cannot compare with other keyboards but this piano has everything I need to learn. It has a lot of functions that I am not using but seems to be pretty cool. I am using the USB PORT to connect it to the Tablet (Ipad) so I can use MIDI functions. I really love this MIDI functions through this USB port (cable wasn't included). 76 keys are enough, at least for me... Less keys could work too... but I am glad i bought this piano with so many keys (It will last forever). Speakers sound is good enough for my room. You can connect amplifiers if you need more sound. Enough for me. Although sometimes I'd like to have more volume (but I understand that this is a portable piano that could work with batteries... what else I could expect?) You can configure a lot of options... which is very good. Especially for the future.

Sounds very good!
This EW300 surprised me -- in a good way -- with its sound quality. I play piano and harpsichord, so buying an electric keyboard seemed an odd choice for me. I tried it because I like to play and practice at all hours, so it's wonderful to wear headphones and know I am disturbing no one. I got this vs. a digital piano because I wanted the harpsichord voice, for sure, and knew I also would enjoy other voices, such as guitar, flute, and chamber. I would happily have spent more, but I did not see a digital piano with all the voices I wanted. I thought I would mostly use this for practice, but the sound is so good that I am enjoying it when I simply want to play for pleasure. The grand piano voice compares with my own grand piano, although the action is lighter. The lighter action is good, in this case, because it is closer to my harpsichord than a weighted key digital piano would have been. The 76-key keyboard has more keys than my harpsichord and only 12 keys fewer than my piano. I find that I am not bothered by not having the 88 piano keys I'm used to.

Lots of Features and Sounds
I purchased this from Amazon in 2018. I use this to play in our Praise Band at church. We have a simple set up so we don't need anything complex and this suits our needs great. The keyboard has lots of features - I use the dual voices for background "filler" a lot. I also recently split the keyboard and set the lower left keys to a bass voice, due to the loss of our bass player and it fills the loss of that sound. You can also personalize and save the dual voices and settings, to make quick changes between songs and the transpose function is great. I see some complaints about volume and my keyboard is plugged into an amp, but there are many settings to make adjustments to the sound and set the Master EQ to "boost" for the loudest speaker output. There is a lot of information in the manual, which I reference a lot. The keyboard is also very lightweight for transporting. I have a heavy, hammer weighted Williams keyboard that I use for practice at home and this keyboard doesn't have hammer weighted keys, but that doesn't bother me at all. In summary - this keyboard is reasonably priced, it has tons of features and options, and it can be used for beginners, just for fun or playing with a band.

I really can't say enough about the Yamaha PSR-EW300 SA 76-Key Portable Keyboard Bundle with Stand and Power Supply. It really out shines all my expectations at an unbelievable price to match. To toot my own horn as a qualified and now retired concert pianist I would certainly recommend this keyboard as worth it's weight in musical versatility, flexibility and adaptability to one and all.
