96 Pages of Beautiful Design Inspiration
This is a small yet gorgeous addition to your graphic design inspiration collection. If you have any of Scott Robertson's other work, you'll know his style of design work. This square 21cmx21cm 96 page hardcover book includes hundreds of sketches, many of which are roughly original size. Pages generally have 2-4 sketches, most of which have light marker shading and ink linework. Interspersed throughout are full and partial color renderings which are simply beautiful. To be clear, the entire book is full color, but the sketches are generally done with grey copic style marker, but you can tell when he's used cool vs warm grey. I own 4 small original sketches, 2 of which are featured in SRD2 (page 10 and 26) and they are both a few % smaller in real life than on the printed page.In comparison to Vol. 01 - the first volume is a bit smaller in size (20.25cm sq) and is a "paperback" of 60 pages with a single staple style binding. The interior of Vol. 01 is all greyscale. Both are worthy additions to the collection, but honestly, I have to give Vol. 02 the nod for quality, value, and inspiration. Full color, >50% more pages, and better binding for $4 more dollars. Hopefully this is just the beginning of a long series of such tomes. At any rate, if you're considering this purchase, you already know what you're getting. Design Studio Press quality is hard to beat and this is a great example of the consistency of their work. I would love to own everything they've ever printed.

Refined futuristic artwork
The creativity and refined line work do really give that needed inspiration when trying to come up with some creative content. I love Scott's style and creative modern shapes. The price totally worth it.

More of the same
If you already own Robertson's 'Lift', 'Blast Off', and Robertson's instructional books, this is probably not a necessary purchase. I was hoping for some new material, but this largely re-presents many of the same type of vehicle drawings in his other offerings. That said, it's a nice format, good-quality publication, with lots of nicely-reproduced illustrations and drawings.
