Decent plug and play camera, especially for the price. Note that the field of view is more like 75 degrees, nowhere near the stated 120.

Can't beat the cost on this. That gives it 5 stars, despite the downsides: a bit too much exposure, and manual focus. But even with the manual focus, I still get decent quality, non-blurry images. The exposure you can fix by playing with the lighting, I happen to have this in a well-lit printer enclosure. I'll probably buy this or the 1080p variant for future projects. This was plug-n-play on Debian Linux running Klipper.

Bought this for the wide FoV. It is nowhere close. To bring 100°+. Using a compass I measured it closer to 55°. 3 stars for being a cheap plug and play camera. -2 stars for grossly over promising capabilities

I plan to use this on a project that needs to watch a process about 8mm away. These will focus down to 1 mm and up to infinity. It is not auto focus, but that is not what I expected.

Just received a Raspberry Pi this past Father’s Day and have been tinkering around with various ideas as to how to best put it to use. This camera module has opened up a lot of possibilities. The construction is solid, and its compact size makes it incredibly versatile for various installations. I’m super impressed with the quality of the video. I get crisp 720p video at 30 fps, and I love that it supports the MPEG format, though I believe it supports other formats as well. It’s got a wide-angle lens that captures a broad field of view (think it’s something like 120 degrees). Very impressed with this module and highly recommend.
