Handy Tool for Keeping Sunroof Drains Clear
This drain cleaning tool is surprisingly effective. The 120 inch length makes it easy to reach all the way through the sunroof drain tubes without trouble. I like that it is flexible enough to bend through tight curves but still firm enough to push through clogs. The brush tip does a good job of clearing out dirt, leaves, and other debris. It works not only for the sunroof but also for windshield wiper drain holes. I appreciate that it is slim and lightweight, so it’s easy to maneuver and store when not in use. Using it gave me peace of mind knowing my drains won’t back up and cause leaks inside the car. The handle has a simple grip that makes it easy to control while feeding the brush through. I’ve already used it on two cars and it worked well for both. Cleaning it afterward was quick, just a rinse with water. Overall, it’s a practical tool that saves time and avoids expensive repairs. I’m glad to have it on hand for regular maintenance. It's durable and well made, so I am very pleased overall!

Effective Tool for Cleaning Sunroof Drain Channe
I purchased this tool specifically to clean the sunroof water drain channels in my car, and it worked very well for that purpose. The length is sufficient to reach deep into the drainage tubes, which helps remove dirt, debris, and buildup that can cause water blockage. Use: Very easy to use. The flexible design allows the tool to follow the curves of the drain channels without forcing it or risking damage. Leakage: After cleaning, water was able to flow freely again, which noticeably reduced water buildup issues around the sunroof area. Brush size: The brush is well-sized—not too thick, so it fits into narrow drains, but firm enough to catch debris effectively. Flexibility: The tool is flexible but still holds its shape, making it easy to guide through tight or curved sections. Durability: Feels sturdy and reusable. The material does not bend excessively or break during use. Size: The overall length is ideal for automotive use, especially for sunroof drains located in the roof and pillars. Overall, this is a practical and effective maintenance tool for car owners who want to keep sunroof drainage systems clean and functioning properly.

Worked perfectly and saved me a trip to the mechanic
This tool did exactly what I needed it to do. My sunroof drains were clogged and causing water to back up, and this flexible brush made it easy to clean them out without taking anything apart. The 120-inch length is more than enough to reach deep into the drain lines, and the flexibility helps it move through bends without getting stuck. The brush is sturdy but gentle, so it clears out dirt, leaves, and debris without damaging anything. I was surprised by how much gunk came out, and after using it, the water drained properly again. It’s simple to use and doesn’t require any special tools or experience. Overall, this is a great preventative maintenance tool to have, especially if you own a car with a sunroof. It’s affordable, effective, and can save you money by avoiding expensive repairs. Highly recommend keeping one of these on hand.

Saved me a fortune at the mechanic
If you have a sunroof, you need this. I noticed my floorboards were getting damp after a heavy rain, and I knew it was the sunroof drains being clogged. Why it works: Length: At 120 inches, it’s long enough to go all the way through the drain line without getting stuck. Flexible but Sturdy: The wire is thin enough to navigate the bends in the tubes but stiff enough to actually push out the gunk and pine needles. Effective: It cleared my clog in about 5 minutes. The "brush" tip actually grabs the debris instead of just pushing it further down. It’s a cheap tool that honestly saves you hundreds in potential water damage or a trip to the shop. Super easy to use—just be slow and steady with it.

Great tool!
Definitely did the job, my sunroof drains were so clogged and now they are clean. I had a leak whenever it rained water kept leaking into my driver side. But now since I cleaned the drains the water seems to be draining properly now from the sunroof. The true test will be when it rains hard though. Fingers crossed ! But the tool was definitely great.

Made it work - with modification
This appears to be a steel cable with a sheath. It's stronger and less flexible than trimmer line. I bought this for a 2004 New Beetle with a sun roof. (My adult kid's car) I tried the trimmer line first, because after reading these reviews, I was concerned that the brush would get caught. Trimmer line would go in about 3.5 feet and stop on both sides. Apparently the bottom of the drain tube ends underneath the black plastic panel below the windshield. I couldn't see it without removing the wipers and tearing everything apart. I think there must be a flap on the bottom end as well in the Beetle because it just stopping dead, even after I cleaned it out and made another pass. After the trimmer line failed to do what I needed, I cut the brush off of this and made attempt with just the cable. (You need a good pair of cutters because it's a steel cable) After several attempts, I was finally able to push it through on the driver's side, but not on the passenger side. Here was my fix, and I recommend it if you don't mind cutting both ends of this thing: I pushed it to where it stopped and cut it with about 6 inches hanging out of the top. I clamped a drill onto the end sticking out and had it spinning while pushing and it worked like a charm. Very easy with the drill running. That being said, you could probably do the same thing with some coated guy wire of the right gauge from your local hardware store. Now I have this +/- 4ft section coiled and in a bag in the trunk for the next time. I'll probably do it annually for preventive maintenance. Maybe it's just a VW thing, you may be able to use this with no trouble on your vehicle. Best of luck.

I used it to clean the AC drain. Works perfectly!! Enough flexibility to go in the drain’s curves but sturdy enough to push and unclog. Rapid response from vendor for queries as well!!
