Narwal Ultra X: The Ultimate All-In-One Cleaning Solution for Modern Homes
The Narwal Ultra X Combo is a standout product in the world of robotic vacuums and mops. It merges both functionalities into a single, well-designed unit. Its aesthetic appeal is immediately noticeable, featuring a beautiful industrial design with a clean silhouette. The user interface is sleek and intuitive, making the user experience pleasant. Assembly and Usability Setting up the Narwal Ultra X was a breeze. The water tanks and filters are conveniently accessible and simple to replace, a significant improvement over many other models on the market. As someone who has struggled with the poor battery life of an older iRobot model, I found the Narwal Ultra X to be a game-changer. Its unique features and reliable performance place it in a league of its own. App Experience The initial app syncing and connection process was a bit cumbersome. The app could be clearer about the sequence of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections, which took longer than expected. Once set up, however, the app’s clean design was pleasing. One improvement I’d suggest is allowing the app to use the system's default font size and adhere to the light/dark mode settings. Additionally, adding a security feature such as Face ID to lock the app would provide peace of mind. I’m uncomfortable with any device accessing my home router without adequate security controls. Performance and Features The Narwal Ultra X’s performance is where it truly shines. After mapping my house, which features hardwood flooring and several area rugs, I tested it with both vacuuming and mopping. The vacuum noise level is comparable to my old iRobot, but the Narwal Ultra X boasts much higher suction power. It handled long hairs on the floor effortlessly, a particularly impressive feature. This was my first experience with a robot mop, and I was amazed by its cleaning power. It performed on par with the steam mop I typically use, significantly reducing the amount of manual labor required. The floor detergent that comes with it has a refreshing lemon scent, adding to the overall cleaning experience. Innovation and Daily Use Combining a vacuum and mop in a single unit is innovative, especially for someone like me who is new to such advanced robotic cleaning solutions. While robot vacuums are common and robot mops are available, the Narwal Ultra X’s integration of both functions in one device is impressive. Despite the slightly cumbersome product name, the Narwal Ultra X certainly nails it in terms of functionality and convenience. I plan to let the Narwal Ultra X automatically run daily to maintain my floors. After longer use, I may update this review to provide further insights into its performance and durability. Overall, the Narwal Ultra X is a fantastic addition to any home. It offers efficient cleaning and impressive design features that make it a worthwhile investment. To keep the cost down, you just need to buy it when it is on sale.

WE **LOVE** THIS THING!!
Long review ahead, but I promise it’s worth it!! Background info: I bought this for my wife for Christmas as we (but mainly she) spends a lot of time sweeping and mopping the floors of our house due to the amount of pets we have. We have 4 dogs (1 sheds A LOT, 2 shed a moderate amount, and the other doesn’t shed at all). We also have a cat. It takes DAILY sweeping to keep up with our house due to the breeds/amount of pets we have. If you have a lot of pets - have no fear because this will do wonders!! Packaging: The item and all it comes with is packaged nicely. The unit itself is clean and sleek looking. Ease of setup: Setup is super easy, just follow the steps through the app. App functionality: You can do everything you need to through this app from picking how many times it goes over a room, how intense the suction power of the vacuum is, how wet the mop leaves the floors, scheduling, changing/modification of mapped floor plans, etc. There’s also a setting called “Freo” mode where it is smart enough to sense what needs redone and what doesn’t. It amazes me how crazy smart this thing is, it can tell based off the mop water if excess dirt has been detected and will send it back to the problem areas to keep cleaning until it’s truly clean. It will also wash and heat dry its own mop pads to keep them clean and not produce any odors. I slightly modified the barriers of our rooms it mapped out, so we can send it to a problem area of the house if need be and everything is divided from rooms down to hallways so we can clean an individual room if a mess arises, and not the entire house. You can also create shortcuts in the app so it can clean whatever you want, however you want. We’ve had no human/pet hair tangled in the roller and its capability to detect objects on the floor and move accordingly has been great! Ours is programmed to clean the mop after each room it cleans (we selected this option so we’d have clean mop pads for the other rooms cleaned after it cleans where the litter box is). Funny enough, it’s smart enough to know when the mop pads are dirty and will automatically send it to the docking station for cleaning ANYTIME during the cleaning - whether it’s done with the room or not. It also knows the difference between carpet rugs and hardwood floors. You can also tell it which way the hardwood floor is laid in the house so it goes with the grain and doesn’t leave streaks. The first night we had it, we ran it at night as we slept. It has a night mode (set with a start/end time period) where it will disable docking station lights, audio, and reduce the vacuum to its quietest setting. It’s quiet enough I fell asleep as it was vacuuming/mopping under our bed. Due to the breeds/amount of animals we have, we scheduled it to vacuum and mop the house 3 days / week. Some tips after several uses: 1) When prioritizing your rooms to be cleaned, look at your floor plan and choose the farthest room from the docking station. Make that the first room it cleans, and the last room would be that which has the docking station it in. Initially, I wasn’t going to set ours up this way because we wanted the litter box room done last, but this thing is so smart it will clean the pads when dirty anyway, so this isn’t an issue as it doesn’t track any litter through the remaining rooms to be cleaned anyway. Starting in the room farthest from the docking station and ending in the room where the station is will keep it from rolling over freshly mopped floors to clean a room farther away. 2) Don’t be alarmed if the first time it cleans it takes HOURS. Our first cleaning took 4 hours. The cleaning today took just over an hour. Once it has things nice and clean, the routine upkeep helps reduce its time in use quite a bit. 3) Freo mode is a great, and thorough mode, IF YOU’RE HOME… I don’t recommend this mode when you’re away from the house because it is so thorough in problem areas it will redo those areas so much you’ll run out of water while you’re gone and it won’t finish the job until refilled. For us, we disabled Freo mode in the scheduling so we know it will do the entire house while we’re gone. 4) SPEND THE MONEY!!!! When these automated vacuums first came out years ago, I bought a cheap one at Walmart. I’d say it did less than average of what it should’ve - cleaning results wise. This time, I went with the philosophy of “you get what you pay for” and with this… you will NOT be disappointed!! OUR FLOORS FEEL LIKE BUTTER THEY ARE SO CLEAN, SHINY, AND SMOOTH!! We have not stopped talking about this since we used it. It even has its own name now, haha! Maintenance Answers: 1) After a deep clean is done and you’re routinely cleaning, a full water tank is enough to get the job done for us and doesn’t need refilled during the job (this will depend on square footage). 2) So far, our device has cleaned a total of 8.9K square feet and has had 25 hours of use. We have not had to replace the mop heads yet OR the lemon & basil sent cleaning solution it automatically mixes with the clean water. The app also tracks its parts and tells you when the mop heads need replaced, etc. These items can be purchased on Amazon through the Narwal store so they are name brand and meant for your device. They aren’t expensive either. I researched, read reviews, and watched many of videos before this purchase due to my previous experience with a cheaper model, and the price of this one being on the high side, but I’m telling you - YOU WON’T REGRET THIS PURCHASE!! I never leave reviews, but this thing earned a 5-STAR review! We’d both rate it higher if we could!!!!!

Update 12/2024 - Errors Smartest robot vacuum ever
Update 4/2026 Biggest piece of junk for $1300. It doesn't run for 30 seconds without errors at this point. Customer Service wants $80 to ship it back for repair/part replacement To Be Determined. Just not worth it. Update 12/2024 Overtime this thing has become a pest. I continually get "Side Brush Errors" when I have replaced brushes and cleaned it thoroughly. The after sales support wants me to send the entire thing back, but this is not an easy thing to package up (hold onto your packaging if you take the plunge, folks) Sometimes it will work great, other times, it works for about 4 minutes before I have to recall it to the base. There is no rhyme or reason as to why some passes are successful. Had really high hopes for this but it's calling short only a few months in. Original Post: Took the plunge and bought this for prime day. My husband rolled his eyes at our 5th iteration of a robot vacuum but I had high hopes; and she’s delivered! The box was huge and the base is pretty large as well, but considering it holds the clean and dirty water containers, I guess it has to be. Set up was easy. Had some user error app issues in the beginning getting it set up on the network. I was selecting the wrong model to pair and it wasn’t working. Once I double checked and selected the correct one, set up was easy. After letting her charge overnight, I set it out to do its mapping. I was freaking amazed at how smart it was. Traversed gently over the whole house and made a pretty freaking accurate mapping of the floor plan. Even was able to demarcate rugs from the tile/wood floors all on its own. Once the mapping was done I used the options to split the map into sections so I’d be able to have it clean certain areas/rooms if I wanted. The first test was a full vacuum and it sure took its time. It’s approx 1100 sq ft but it took hours. Looking at the map, it was going over certain areas many times. We have a lab who is in his “shed like crazy” stage. Even though I’d vacuum almost daily, we still would have a lot of hair soon after. The vacuum did a great job. The next day I had it do a vacuum then mop session in just one area of the house that was tile floor. Wanted to see how much water it left behind before letting it wild on the hardwood. But the tile floor was done surprisingly well and there was never puddles of water left behind. Next test was vacuum THEN mop of whole area. This took forever. Almost 6.5 hours when it eventually gave up. That’s okay. As it was doing each of the previous jobs it would refine the map even more. Now I have it set to vacuum and mop simultaneously every weekday. It will do all the non-carpeted areas during this cycle which is pretty much all of it. During the process it will shout from the hill tops repeatedly and and quite a volume when you need to replace the clean water. Only once has it gotten stuck on a cord, which older vacuums seemed to just gravitate to them and get stuck. Battery life is decent. If it does a super deep clean (all on its own it decides how much cleaning an area needs), it may need to recharge mid-session. And I almost always have to replace the water at least once during the process. But I couldn’t be happier. Definitely was worth the price and has been doing a fantastic job. Despite daily cleanings and aforementioned hairy dog, the one small vacuum bag isn’t even filled yet. I’ve ordered more but also have the reusable canister it came with as a fallback should I need it. I love checking the app and seeing the map lines of where it cleaned. Gives an update on how much is done, what areas it focused on and which areas still need to be cleaned. I love a good user interface.

Life Changing.
I bought my Narwal on sale for Mother's Day 2024 using a Roomba 980 for almost five years. This is the best cleaning investment I've made and waited till now to review to ensure I was completely satisfied with the cleaning results. Also, no more banging into furniture or walls with the millimeter precision of the Freo X Ultra. It vacuums and mops above my cleaning standards. As a retired member of the military my standards are very high! The Narwal Freo X Ultra robot cleans on par with the Roombas vacuum power but at a much lower noise level. The Freo vacuum can run at 4 different power levels, Quiet, Normal, Strong and Super Powerful with the ability to clean the area 1 to 3 times in a single session. Even on the Super Powerful mode of vacuuming it's less than half the noise of the Roomba 980 with the same level cleaning. I can't tell you how many times I had to pause Roomba to talk on the phone or to have a conversation. The Freo is so much quieter you'll wonder if it's even running. I know, I've looked for it several times only to find it cleaning normally. Let's talk about the climbing mode for a minute. My Freo is used on the downstairs only. So I have enabled the climbing mode to get over obstacles, rug corners, etc. This thing has climbed over a bathroom scale to get to the area behind the scale. Was impressed but now I just pick up the scale to make it easier to clean. The mopping features are just as impressive. With the edge clean mode engaged it will mop to the baseboards with the ability to do multiple cleaning passes. The rotating scrubbing heads clean my floors and leave no trace of dirt or streaking on my tile flooring. The robot will return to the base station periodically to wash the mop heads before continuing the cleaning job. There is no dripping of water from the mop heads. Was worried about running out of the mopping solution so I bought an extra bottle. I'm still on my first bottle of cleaner after two months. This is the only recommendation I can make. Once you run the mopping cycle it's not necessary to empty the dirty water or refill the clean water but do it anyway. The dirty water will get smelly after a week or so but you can't smell it till you pour it out. Overall I'm very pleased with the performance and rate it 5 stars, would go higher if Amazon allowed. The App is very intuitive and easy to use and have had zero issues getting it to work. Just a quick note on the authorized replacement parts. While I haven't needed any replacement parts the authorized replacement parts are a bit more costly than the knockoffs, I highly recommend only using authorized parts when needed. The knockoffs are not usually in the correct tolerances and don't work well. It's a get what you pay for type of thing. If you are still on the fence, buy it when a sale is available and save some money too. I know It's a bit more costly than some of the other models in the robot market but it's so worth it and makes it easy to maintain my floors. As I stated above you get what you pay for, especially, with the Narwal Freo X Ultra. Love my little robot and it's abilities, I think you will too.

Some gripes, but mostly in love
I love this thing. It is the best robot vacuum I have had. That said, there some features I wish weren’t so complicated, and a couple of notes I would give: 1) the fact that there are features only accessible through the app is disappointing. Changing the mode of cleaning should be accessible on the base 2) I wish I could place the robot somewhere and start it immediately, map or no map. With the map, I would hope the robot could locate itself. Without the app, I wish the robot could use its internal sensors to clean and avoid obstacles 3) the fact that the map is not self-editing is kind of annoying. I have lost count of how many times I’ve had to remap because I had a dog bed in the way that I moved, or because a rug was deemed to be the end of the room. Other robots will sense changes and adjust accordingly. This one does not. That said, the sensors are pretty good. The bot gets very close to furniture without hitting it 4) I have an upstairs. Sometimes I bring the base up with me. Other times, I just want it to clean a specific zone, and I have to re-map in order to clean the same floor with and without a base 5) the mop solution. There is only one option. There is no way to use a different solution or your preferred floor cleaner unless you apply it directly to the floor first, which defeats the purpose of convenience 6) hair compression. There is no base feature to activate this manually. I just have to hope the machine senses how much dust is in the bin and compresses it first. It does not always do this 7) corners: the machine stays a bit too far from the corners. I can see the difference because it cleans so well! 8) the machine tells you when water is low, but doesn’t offer level updates otherwise. 9) no option to purchase a second base. I don’t need nor can I afford two of these, but would love to have a base upstairs and a base downstairs so I don’t have to make three trips each time I want to clean either floor with the base. 10) does not seem to sense fullness of the dust bag. There’s no indicator on the app, it just suggests ~7 weeks of use. I’ve only had this for a little over 2 weeks, so I’m dreading the moment the bag becomes full as I’m not certain it’s going to tell me and if it overflows, that’s going to be a big mess. I wish there was a running estimate as to how full the dust bag is. This, coupled with the hair compression complaint, means I’m not entirely certain how I’m going to be able to tell when I need to replace this. That said, I was prepared to send this back as I paid quite a bit for it within the 30 days. After day two, I threw the boxes out 😅 As an owner of two shed-heavy dogs, this has been a lifesaver. And it’s so quiet! Additionally, because the base station houses the entire robot, I no longer have to worry about my dog stepping on the robot and turning it on by mistake.

This is the best thing I've bought in my life
This was seriously the best purchase I've made in my life so far (aside from my car, lol). I bought this back in 2024 and it's still going strong. I have back problems and can't stand for long periods to mop or sweep, so this little guy has eliminated that need altogether. I also live in a surprisingly large studio, so I can't say much about how it handles stairs. It's so good at cleaning. I didn't realize how dirty my floors were until I got this; my swiffer barely cleaned compared to this. It's pretty quiet to me, but you can also change how intense the vacuuming is; more = louder. Replacing the water tanks are easy, and I love that there's a function button on the top of the home base if you don't want to use the app. There's some on the vacuum too for a few simple things like turning it on/off and recalling it back to its base. The app is simple to use and setting up a schedule (I do weekly) only took a couple of taps. Mapping was easy and it adjusts very well if I move any furniture. It also noticed I had my bathroom door open last time and popped a little indicator in the app asking if I wanted it mapped and included in the usual areas (attaching a pic). I also moved apartments in late 2024, so remapping to the new place was easy too. I also split my apartment into two "rooms" in case i only need one area cleaned, though you can just use the zone function too. Accessories haven't been replaced yet since i only have it clean weekly, but I'm considering on getting some soon as backup just in case. Battery life is long lasting. It uses 20% on vacuum & mop for a 45 minute to 1 hr clean. Recall that I live in a large studio, so if you have a house or more rooms, it may drain faster. I recommend scheduling different rooms for different days. I introduced my mom to it and she wants one now; she's old school and was hesitant till she could watch it work. Now she insists on getting a narwal for the main areas of the house. Overall, highly recommended!

Narwal Freo X Ultra Robot vacuum and mop combo
UPDATED below..... PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ UPDATE BELOW...This is truly a big investment at a thousand dollars (on sale). But I have high hopes. I've had it a couple of weeks and I can say - Dang. It's pretty good. There are a couple of things. First, it doesn't vacuum quite as well as my vacuum only robot - but its ok. There are lots of settings - so I am going to try a few things. The mop is amazing. At first the dirty water was horrible - embarrassing. I wasn't expecting it. It actually had to recharge and continue! And I had to add water and dump the dirty water twice! But as "Wally" has been working, the water is less and less dirty. That says to me it's working and well. I have 1 floor so I don't have any stair issues. I have about 1600 sq ft - so a small area. My floors look a lot better. No joke. I love that part. The whole unit is pretty big. Be sure to look at measurements. It dwarfs my old robot vacuum with self empty tank. Noise? It's amazingly quiet on the quiet setting - but it's not super great at the vacuum part on 'quiet' run. Could you run while you sleep. I sure could. It's only been caught 1x - but my fault - loose cord. It was a bit of trick to get hooked up to my network - but after about 6 tries - all of sudden it decided to link. You MUST have wifi - you can't run the machine from the base. That needs to change. Also, it talks to you - very quietly. Where I have it, I cannot hear it. It would be nice to log into the app and SEE what it's trying to tell you - but that doesn't happen. I did run in the other room and heard the last part of the notice "dirt detected" - Thumbs up. Another thing, you must purchase there floor cleaner. You could get around it trying hard enough, but I am not not tempted enough to do it. There is a scent to the cleaner, but I only smell it when I dump the dirty water bin - I never notice it while/after it is actually mopping. I'm ok with that. I'd rather not have a strong scent. It is kinda funny because the dirty water is gross, but smells great! LOL In my opinion, the mapping was incredibly accurate. Noting my area rugs, where they end and the flooring begins. Impressive. Rarely runs into anything. I am actually really, happy with this purchase. I hope it works for a looooong time. I did have to ask a question - email was the only option to get support. I got an answer - that worked. I am a little disappointed that on the app (I have an android - but sure the Iphone is probably the same) there is an ad strip! Seriously?? I just paid this huge of money for your equipment and I STILL have to have an ad strip on my app?? That's annoying. It's a tap/click to purchase refills of stuff. Eh. Honestly, I am still running through all the settings, all the options - like just vacuum, just mop or both. Then there's mop and vacuum or vacuum and then mop... Over all, I am thrilled to have clean floors. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. I am a verified purchaser - not a compensated reviewer. I have been doing honest, trustworthy reviews for well over 25 years with Amazon - posting thousands and thousands of reviews - which have been viewed over 8.2 million times to date. I am NOT a fake reviewer. BOTTOM LINE: I pay for ALL my stuff, just like you do - with hard earned dollars! UPDATED REVEIW 10/13/2024 : I love love the IDEA of this mop. BUT unfortunately, it is an idea that needs more time to develop I think. PLUS one of the biggest irritations is all the ADS that are constantly going on your app - which is necessary to use in the function of your mop. OMG. Its even the ads that will not clear until a certain amount of time has passed before you can access your mop!!! Seriously???? I am SO angry about this. For as much as you pay for this machine - NO ads should EVER harass you! Also, after months of using I am annoyed that there is NO way to remove/delete 'scheduled' events! Another thing - once it has started doing a 'task' good luck stopping it. You can press and hold the arrow button on the box, but it will start up right where it left off when you send it out again on the previous task! I am currently trying to figure out if it is just a terrible brain chip? OR do I need to hard reset? Is that even possible? What does all this say? It's NOT intuitive. It's SUPER difficult to search out what you need it to do and then how to stop what you don't need it to do. Every time I need to delve into a more complicated process (how to adjust the 'type' of clearning ) - I have to go to youtube to get an education on HOW to do it and I end up saying ' Wow. I would have NEVER found that.' I am super super disappointed about the harassing ads that never end. But even more disappointed I have to research everything about it's function! It took me at least a month to get all the 'customize' parts of my cleaning down. Does the vacuum/mop work. Yes. But you may want to kill something in order to get it to work. I would seriously consider returning it if I hadn't passed the returned window. It is with great sadness that I highly recommend you DO NOT PURCHASE ANY NARWAL products until they address the ads and remove them. Further, they need to go back to the drawing board on how to program a truly intuitive process that doesn't require a heavy internet search for the solution. And that's IF there is one. UPDATE #2 11/23/24 They have removed the ads from phone! Hopefully for everyone. They have also been apparently listening to people. They've made a few really good improvements on the app. You can easily skip or cancel scheduled events. That is a godsend. It still doesn't vacuum quite as well as my ol' buddy irobot 4 - but - Narwal mops. That is game changer for me. I feel like my review is a bit bipolar sounding at this point. I am not. But when you are investing such a large amount of money - I just feel responsible to report as we go along. It appears that Narwal may be listening and adjusting to customers. As long as that is happening - I'm still on board.

Perfect Addition to My Cleaning Routine
I’ve been using the Narwal Freo X Ultra for a few months now, and it has been a fantastic addition to my home. It handles my daily floor cleaning effortlessly and navigates around obstacles with perfectly. This is what I've been waiting for robots to do. I used to have an old robot vacuum that just bounced around and required lots of hair detangling, and it was more effort to maintain than to just vacuum everything myself. I live in an apartment with a pretty simple layout, and the Narwal does a great job covering all areas. I did have to set a no-go zone for a flimsy rug that it tends to get stuck on, but that was easy to do. One tip: make sure to keep strings and small tangle-prone items like cat toys out of its way to avoid any issues. The self-cleaning mop feature is a game-changer and saves me a lot of hassle. Plus, it operates quietly (the mop, vacuum is a little louder), so it doesn’t disturb my daily routine. Overall, I have no complaints. The Narwal Freo X Ultra is reliable, efficient, and worth every penny. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a smart and effective cleaning solution!

Game changing Robot Vacuum brush but challenging Customer Service and App
We have had our Narwal for about a month now and all I can say is WOW!!! I am blown away by three things. 1. The way the roller brush captures animal hair is mind blowing. We have an Irish Wolfhound that leaves hair throughout the house. Since we started using this, there is barely anything on the ground (daily cleaning) and have yet to have a brush tangle. 2. The mop function is incredible. This vacuum/map does such an amazing job on our floors. Every morning we wake up to spotless floors. 3. This thing is quiet. I actually like the fact that there is no dust bin capture in the base. It's so quick an easy to empty that it's really not an issue. You can barely hear the thing while it's cleaning the house. Truly impressed. The loudest part is when it cleans the mops, but even then it's not that loud. Setup was fairly easy, but as others have mentioned, connecting to your Wifi for the first time can be a challenge. It found my Wifi, I entered the password, but it wouldn't finish the setup. I just ended up force closing the app and opened it back up, started the process again and it went through. Mapping the house was fairly easy, but I did notice a few errors it made and had to remap a few times. Not a big deal as it's a very fast process. I ended up putting down fake cardboard walls to help it separate certain rooms (rather than making it one giant room). Seemed to fix the problem. I also had to cover a few mirrors in the house as it though there was a secret portal into another dimension! LOL The app for the most part is intuitive and easy to use. Mapping a second floor is a PITA, and it does not work the same as it does for the first floor. You can only select an entire area rather than an individual room. Also, I can't figure out how to tell it to mop on the second floor as it needs it's base. Luckily for us we have mostly carpet on the second floor. Customer support is non existent so don't get your hopes up. I have emailed there team a few times and still no response. I have also tried the Reddit Forum and you get a response, but they tell you to email their CSR team and you fall into a never ending cycle of 'NO SUPPORT'. All of my issues have to do with the APP and not about the machine itself... just an FYI. Repair support may be faster. As for the machine and base itself. It's a premium robot vacuum and it is hands down the nicest looking of the bunch. We also got the auto water exchange system and it works like a dream. If you can plumb it in, make the purchase. You won't regret it!

A Little Genie That Transformed Our Home Cleaning!
We’ve been using the Narwal Freo X Ultra for the past 10 months, and it has truly been a game-changer for us. Before this, we had an iRobot, and to be honest, it was a frustrating experience. The docking was unreliable — we had to manually dock it almost every time, and if we forgot, vacuuming during an urgent need was just not possible. But the Narwal Freo X Ultra is a whole different story — it’s like having a little genie at home. It intelligently senses dirt in the room and adjusts its cleaning cycles accordingly. The results are fantastic — our home always looks spotlessly clean, and the vacuuming performance is so effective that it even gives a mopped look. What impresses us the most: • Super quiet: It works so silently that most of the time we don’t even notice it’s running. • Works in total darkness: Unlike the iRobot, this one doesn’t need light to function. • Exceptional mapping: It maps the house perfectly and skillfully avoids obstacles. It has never once banged into furniture or walls. • Smart and independent: Once set up, we never had to bother. It does its job reliably every time. We are extremely happy with the product and have recommended it to many of our friends. Several of them have purchased it and shared the same positive experience. If you’re looking for a reliable, intelligent, and efficient home cleaning robot — look no further. This is it!

Narwal Freo X Ultra
I have had experience with robotic vacuum cleaners and mops for years. This attractive and well designed product is the best one I’ve owned and it works perfectly. Narwal will doubtless be sending out OTA updates to make it even better. The thing is, it is really hard for me to find any fault with this product that is an improvement over its predecessor. With it able to work perfectly in fully automatic A.I. Freo Mind mode, it makes use of numerous sensors to detect and correctly react to dirt or spills in the most appropriate manner. If you want to make use of various settings yourself to modify the system, you will find the app provides you with vast control. Point is, the mopping pads are able to adjust pressure on the floor depending upon the surface. A little less downward pressure on your wooden floors versus your tiles. Those pads are kept clean and wet with prompt and effective washing with clean fresh water in the handsomely designed base. Detergent that is child and pet safe is automatically added to the water. When the cleaning job completes they are washed and dried with heated air. The washing tray is easy to remove and clean yourself as you should do every couple of weeks or so. The system is designed for maximizing cleaning performance, with no fiddly easy to fail mechanical washing methods. I also am so very pleased that with this powerful capable vacuum and mop to find out that it is amazingly quiet. A very large dustbin is made more efficient by the compression of the contained contents and disinfected and air drying to prevent any moisture from leading to bacterial growth and smells. The solution is in sync with the ability to handle potentially a longer, dump with a possible 7 weeks needed before tossing the expanding disposal filter bags/cartridges or you can use the included 1 litre more conventional dustbin with a washable filter. I have only used the newer disposal bins thus far and I am very happy to say they work as advertised. If you’re someone who has a few kids and several pets, you may have more frequently emptying and the easiest to empty conventional dust bin may be the way you end up going. Take note though that you are able to buy third parties filters and parts that are very cost effective. The Narwal Freo is a great machine that has been a success around the world, so no shortage of consumables are available for your long term enjoyment of this machine. It is an easy to setup product that you can trust to make your home as clean as possible and even do this while the family sleeps as it is so quiet and doesn’t have a super loud dirt handling solution that is subject to possibly clogging up with potentially damp dirt and dust. On so many levels, this mopping vacuum is a step above. I am very glad that I took the plunge and went with Narwal who have gone above and beyond in designing a super capable and easy to live with device to make your home better. Highly recommended.

Best cleaning robot ever!!
I have been using vacuum robots since 2008 and have seen them evolve from fairly clunky machines that needed a lot of watching over (for falls, getting stuck etc) to far more competent devices. For the last few years I have been using a Cecotech vacuum mop which is a great machine but it did require me to fill water and also clean the dust bin frequently. Just about a week ago I made the happy decision to upgrade to a Narwal Freo X Ultra. This cleaner is a class apart. The hardware and the software are a brilliant evolution from what I could loosely call the previous generation. The machine is flawless in mapping, navigation, obstacle avoidance and returning to base. Moreover, it compresses the dust collected and thereby gives the disposable dust bag a life of nearly 6 weeks. The 4.5 ltr water tank provides the fuel to mop 3000 sq ft. And it auto cleans itself and dries the mop pads as well. Clearly a quantum leap in cleaning tech and perhaps the most outstanding gadget I have ever bought (and that is a big statement given that I am quite a gadget-o-phile). Way to go Narwal!!

Cannot work properly at sencond use
I have had a mop machine of this brand for more than one year and worked well except easy falling down stairs and have to fix it manually. But the mop effect is pretty good. This time I buy this new and more expensive one for my second floor. After installation, The first time I use both vacuum and mop function at the same time but found out the vacuum function is not as good as iRobot. The second time I used its mopping function only and it said ‘base station flooding “. I tried to fix it with advices from vendor app and couldn’t fix it with all the trying. I decided to return it.
