The item arrived undamaged in a well-protected padded box. I don't know how accurate the timing of the sand transfer is, since I don't care about that part. I appreciate the visual attractiveness of the item and admire the craftsmanship, although I realize it's likely the manufacturing process is mostly if not completely automated. The price is reasonable from my perspective.

The quality of this product is very good. It is well made, and is excellent for the purpose intended.

I ordered two of the gold sand, 30-minute hourglass timers.The temperature outside when they were delivered was below freezing. I don’t know if that affected them, but one worked, and the other didn’t, meaning that the sand didn’t flow.But a couple of hours later, they both worked. One timed at 28 minutes, and the other at 30 minutes. So they were both ok.

The media could not be loaded. These are beautiful timers - we use them for our kids and they look nice on the mantel. Keep them out of kids reach tough as the glass shatters into a million pieces if dropped (we know cause it happened). But we love them.

The media could not be loaded. Small 30min timer. It broke as soon as I opened the package and tried to remove the label from the top. I barely put any pressure while removing the sticker and it just popped. If you need this as a prop or decoration for a day or two (and you don’t need it to be accurate) it’s okay to take the risk. But if you want this long term, don’t do it to yourself. The sand hole is also super small and the sand didn’t finish coming out even after the bottom half broke. I “taped” it back together just to see the sand in action but it wasn’t very exciting. One star & two major thumbs down.

While this functions as intended I was a little disappointed. From the picture the sand appeared to be a little bit iridescent showing blue and green. When I received the timer the sand was flat green color and not as pretty as the sand that was pictured.

I’d say this is worth the price. It arrived in one piece with no chips, wrapped in 3 sleeves of bubble wrap for protection. I timed it, mine completes in 58.5 minutes, which meets my needs. The sand is a beautiful color. See the photo for a size comparison next to an instax print. Appears to be well built.
