The official carbon filters that these replace aren't even cut to fit! You have to cut them yourself, and there is scrap left over in an unusable size and shape. Also for the same price, you get twice as many filters here. Outstanding value.

they worked pretty good. I like not having to cut them to fit.. they fit in there just right.

I was surprised that the filters were the exact filters that came with the Idylis when I bought it about 2 years ago. Even the carbon prefilters were the exact size and did not need to be trimmed, Lowe's never sold these filters at the exact size. Also the price for both filters was a lot less than what Lowe's was selling them for. I will be ordering more of these filters now that I know they are what I want and they work.

Do not know yet but will over time. No one can comment on effectiveness until some time of use.

The big plus over the filtrete is that these are precut and ready to go with a perfect fit. However, they do emit a funky smell that wasnt there with the filtrete filters which makes me suspicious that they're made with something that's offgassing VOC's or something. Furthermore, they just came in an umarked bag which also makes my suspicious of the "made in USA" claim. Not sure I'll get these again unless the manufacturer wants to provide more info about what they're putting in these things.

Perfect cut for my D size filters. Much cheaper and better size than the OEM pre-filters.

product was 1/4" to long, had to cut to fit. material is more coarse than original so it doesn't stick to hepa filter velcro, had to use tape to secure to filter. when i opened package, carbon particles fell all over house, had to vac both floor and filter
