What are the D rings for? I can't figure out how to assemble these.

Throw the “D” rings away or save them , they’re not needed for assembly of the strap and buckles. Here’s a little tip for you though, when cutting the strap material, use a lighter to melt the frayed cut end of the strap, it’ll keep it from completely fraying.

Link to how to put the female assembly together so it doesn't slip? (This is not going well youtube vids tell you to get a sewing machine).

if you don't route webbing right as I did it slips keep trying, one end I did sew good luck
