Amazing picture, but some functionality is disabled when using HDR - SEE EDIT!
The colours and sharpness on this monitor are the best I have even seen. I had a good LCD monitor before this, but the PG32UCDM is in another league. The pixel response time is phenomenal (0.03ms) and beats anything that an LCD can manage by a huge margin. 240Hz refresh rate too... For gaming, it's as good as it gets. However, in terms of functionality it's not perfect - and in my opinion it should be perfect when paying over £1k. As an example: The monitor has a "proximity sensor" feature that dims the screen if you're not in front of the monitor. This is an excellent feature because QDOLED panels degrade over time; brighter pixels degrade faster and the panels can suffer from "burn-in" if a static image is present for too long - especially if the image is bright. EXCEPT the proximity feature is disabled if you're running the monitor in HDR mode, which you should be to get the most out of it. There are a whole bunch of features that disable when in HDR. Another example is the "Game mode visual" option. When in HDR, it sets to "Game mode racing" (at least on mine) and there's no way to change that. The ASUS forums are utterly useless. People post issues on there and the only response from ASUS is "our technicians will look into it". Same copy-paste for everything and no follow-up. The monitor came with firmware MCM103. I updated to MCM105 but more recent stock is shipping with 106. There's no way to obtain 106 from the ASUS site. People have been asking on the forums for months but ASUS don't respond. I'm still very pleased with this monitor, but it's worth bearing in mind that ASUS support is bad and their RMA process in notoriously poor. We should expect better when paying a grand for a top-end monitor. Edit: So, they finally released firmware 108 and fixed the proximity issue and the lack of choices in HDR. Those were the gripes, so upgrading the review to 5 stars. It really is a very good monitor.

Astounding monitor
Absolutely mind-blowing display (from previously using a 24 inch LCD IPS at 1080p). Having seen things on OLED now I could never go back to LCD now. The display was easy to set up out of the box. The default colour settings are very good and there are half a dozen or so different pre-sets to try. The semi-glossy coating doesn't cause any distracting reflection when the screen is black. All of the flashy logo colours etc can be turned off. Only criticism would be the gigantic size of the stand and the slightly limited adjustability (particularly swivel). The image quality and blazing refresh rate is spectacular making it overall feel like a very futureproof display.

Currently THE best 32" 4K QDOLED on the market
I've tried the Aorus, MSI and Asus variants of the 32" QDOLEDs. The Asus was the one I kept for the following reasons: Currently at a great price and cheaper than the MSI and Aorus with 90W KVM (a must for me) The latest firmware gives you the ability to fine tune colour in HDR The August 2024 firmware gives you the brightest HDR picture of any of the current QDOLEDs KVM works flawlessly More settings to play with than any of the other models Proximity Sensor turns off monitor when you step away Optical out. Flaws: No DP2.1 No per input config. Although it does give you access to x2 favourite configs which mostly works. No fall back built in speakers Overall very very happy, stunning monitor and the best i've owned to date.

Stunningly good!
I upgraded from an Asus VG278QP 1080 27inch monitor which was pretty good for the time, but this thing blows it out of the water. The image is a crystal clear 4k where even small text is sharp as a pin. The blacks are true blacks which gives great contrasts and colour depth. Dark areas in games and films are truly black rather than a washed-out grey! The colours are surprisingly vibrant! The reds are red, the greens are green, the blues are blue! My ageing RTX 3070 runs it fine without problems. Games in 4k are pin-sharp and the colours really pop. I'm noticing details that my old monitor struggled to display properly. The stand is very robust and was very easy to assemble. Is it worth £900+? If you're using your monitor a lot then yes. You will never go back to a 1080 LCD after using a 4k OLED. The difference is night and day. The phone images attached can not possibly do the monitor justice. In person, every star is pin-sharp, vibrant, and the background blacks are true blacks giving amazing colour definition.

Amazing!… for 30 minutes
Wonderfully packaged, brilliant build quality and absolutely flawless image quality and colours. Exactly what I was after. At least for 30 minutes before the panel started acting up. The panel then gave up entirely 20 minutes after that giving me audio only with no panel activity whatsoever. No signs of damage on the packaging or the monitor. I will put this down to a faulty panel. I will revisit this review once my replacement arrives and hope I don’t have similar issues with the next one.

Great OLED monitor, somewhat pricey though.
Overall this is a great 32" OLED monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate and a fabulous screen. There are several different monitors from different manufacturers that use the same QD-OLED screen. This ASUS is the best one and with it's recent price cut only a little more than the others. The looks, KVM, continous firmware improvements and auto shut off when you're away from the screen make it worth the extra.

Great monitor
Once it finally artived this monitor is simply excellent. If you desire a little more screen space 32" is worth the upgrade from 27" which I also use. Still great for high refresh for FPS games and good for multi media use. The usual high ASUS ROG build quality and styling to boot.
