The book is in black and white, which makes some of the graphics useless, but the material inside otherwise is extremely helpful. make sure you pay attention to the fact it is indian edition. I didn't realize it after I bought it, but luckily for me it was the same material that my college required. Definitely a money saver if your professor says to buy the 5th edition. Nothing is different from this edition, maybe a few grammar fixes, but it is all the same material. Four stars for the color issue, otherwise it would be 5.

Better than wasting your money on a newer edition
If you're required to get this text book, it's definitely what you pay for. I bought my copy used. The book is in black and white, which makes some of the graphics useless, but the material inside otherwise is extremely helpful. make sure you pay attention to the fact it is indian edition. There is no color
This version has no color, which in Geology you must have color. Literally one of the only courses where color in the book is a must and this book does not have it. I returned the book the day after I received it because it had no color and was refunded 1/5th of what I paid for it. This book should be removed from Amazon. Do not buy this version! (Indian)

This is a geology book. WITHOUT COLORS! On many pages it says "Red, indicates blablabl¨" But it has no colors...

It's very hard to study when the book says "the red color represent blablabla and the green is the moviment blablabla when everything is black an white!!!

Interesting book to study... And it gives nice knowledge.... Just the problem is it's in b/w colour... But other than that... Everything is nice

The content of the book is absolutely good, fantastic introduction to the key topics in geology. Quite easy even for a non expert to follow. The book is heavily focused on north American geology. This one is the Indian edition hence the book is way too cheaper but there are trade-offs like black and white images, not so great paper quality.
