Great easy to use trap which is completely humane.
After seeing a couple of unwanted guests in the house, humane action needed to be taken. These traps are easy to bait and the slim profile means that you can get them in all the right places. I have seen one of them activated by a visitor and they absolutely cause no harm to the animal, they just get a bit of shock when the door closes. Once it's closed, it's secure enough that you can move the creature to a safe place to release them. Living in the countryside means that there is a wider variety of animals knocking about other than regular house mice so not harming them is important. There is no assembly required, you just need to bait your traps and place them strategically. The build quality is good and I have no doubt that these will last many years. The traps are easily triggered when someone pays the bait a visit and they have been effective in getting rid of all the unwanted guests.

Great product!
I’m extremely pleased with these ROSHIELD Humane Mouse Traps and would happily give them five stars. They provide an effective and more considerate solution for dealing with unwanted mice compared with traditional traps. The live-catch design is a great feature, allowing mice to be caught without causing unnecessary harm and making them suitable for people who prefer a humane approach. The traps are simple to set up and easy to use, with a practical design that makes checking and releasing the mouse straightforward. The transparent viewing area is helpful, as it allows you to see whether the trap has been triggered without having to disturb it. The size is suitable for indoor use, while the durable construction also makes them practical for outdoor areas. The quality feels excellent, with strong materials that should withstand repeated use. Cleaning and resetting the traps is easy, making them a reusable and economical option compared with disposable alternatives. Overall, these ROSHIELD Humane Mouse Traps are a reliable, practical, and effective pest control solution. They offer a good balance between performance and animal-friendly design, making them a great choice for anyone looking to manage mice in a safer way. I would definitely recommend them to homeowners looking for a reusable live-catch trap. Excellent value for money and deserving of five stars!

They work great... but
These do work, they capture mice humanely and effectively, but after 10 days usage maybe not the solution I need. I put a spare night vision camera in the attic after hearing some noises in the evening/night, this revealed mice. I originaly thought there were just 2 of them so bought this pack (x2) hoping to evict them quickly. 10 days later I have caught and released 40+ mice, the only factor that is limiting my catch rate is how often I empty and reset the traps. There doesn't appear to be any slow down, I think I need another solution. The pro's - they capture mice quickly - no trapped tails or obvious injuries - mice are not deterred by any human scent left on trap - easy to release mice and reset trap - peanut butter bait 100%, I even think they prefer crunchy over smooth The con's - mouse droppings and urine quickly build up and it gets quite smelly, I think the mice like that - hard to clean and freshen up though it doesn't need it, I did ease the bottom plate off for a thorough internal clean once, not worth the effort. just soak and blast with hose - small mice won't trigger it, 2 small mice will. Hoping to increase sensitivity, I tried lubricating all the contact points but no change. Could adjust the spring under the see-saw or file a slight slope on the door trigger. Its very hard to get the sping back in without taking the bottom off, which is presumably how it was initially assembled.

**8.6/10 - Good Product, Great Design, Highly Sensitive Trigger-Plate; 100% Recommend!!**
First, I should note that I had, at the time of purchase, 4 other (DIFFERENT) types of active traps - traditional kill traps + homemade one-way traps - and had absolutely NO success as the entire block of flats and the neighbouring blocks have all got an unstoppable, ever-growing mice population that are incredibly smart, cunning and ruthlessly destructive (and invasive); they have licked the bait, gently off some, highly sensitive(!) traps and are smart enough to avoid the live traps entirely... I had initially placed down the 2 traps (this product) and the mice were quick to avoid them as they were the many others (mine and everyone else's in the estate!) but for some absolute shocking, unexpected reason, there was a bizarre turn of events that completely surprised me... the particular mouse that made a habit of regularly defecating in and (old) cockroach glue trap every day, had somehow managed to get it's tail caught in the glue!.. and thus began my first catch! (just to be clear, this cockroach glue trap was already left in my flat by multiple previous tenants and was ancient; it was, next to my oven, in the gap, on the floor and from about 2 months ago, I started seeing mouse droppings inside it and nowhere else! This kept increasing, until finally, I heard scuffling sounds that were much louder than usual...) A very short while after I removed said mouse, I had noticed that the other 2 mice began looking for their sibling... within a couple of hours, one of the mice, finally went into the new live trap and as I went out to check, the 3rd mouse ran away from the 2nd mouse that was in the new trap!.. After releasing the 2nd mouse, far away, I kept seeing, hearing and finding more evidence that the 3rd mouse is still here, but each day, gets more and more quiet, the traps are entirely left alone (despite containing small quantities of: peanut butter, 7 different seeds, mixed fruit & nuts, bits of cheese, a pringle, a grape, granola, oats, etc... the exact things that have been eaten by them from tests on my open kitchen floor - thy preferred the lightly toasted 7 seed mix & the jumbo oats more than anything else) but the remaining mouse, or mice, will NOT go near ANY of the 7 different traps I now have active and scattered around in all their hiding spots... they will ONLY eat crumbs or scraps if they are on the floor as I have tested this theory over and over again just to check if they are still here! In conclusion, I can say that these traps do work, as long as a mouse, rat, etc, enter the box and stand on the plate, they will trigger it (even if they were absolutely tiny little baby mice - like the ones I had/have) - provided that they are drawn in by bait and actually reach the trigger-plate... (I had success on the trap that I smeared a very thin, practically invisible, layer of peanut butter, with my finger, all around the edges, the floor & roof of the entrance of the trap, to entice a mouse in and left tiny bits of it across the roof to stick single seeds into; I also spread it, a bit more heavily onto the red trigger-plate itself, making sure to wipe my fingers on the far edge to create clumps and also stick some seeds there + on the roof of the box, above the edge of the trigger-plate, just to make sure - I had spread small amounts around the outside of the trap as well and then put all the bait on top of peanut butter in the bait tray at the end. Finally, I sprinkled some food crumbs around the entrance and placed it against the wall, behind my fridge). I definitely rate this product; as long as the mice go in, they will be caught - bait is key. The mice I am dealing with are genuinely the smartest mice I have ever had to deal with my entire life!! I like that the traps do not break after a couple of uses, they are easily washed/cleaned, can be re-baited and re-used almost immediately - always a bonus. The way it was packaged was rather nice, very snug, well made packaging that was actually designed for this product and not just made to fit with spacers - also the exceptionally robust box material itself (glossy finish, smooth but very durable/sturdy) is more high-end, premium quality compared to most standard/basic packaging which was a nice touch. Tailored graphics. 100% recommend; inexpensive alternative to poison + kill-traps that are a health & environmental risk/hazard! ***(UPDATE)*** So, after catching upwards of 7+ mice within a couple of weeks, I decided to leave them out as permanent installations within my kitchen (you know, "just in case"). I can happily report that there were another 3 completely random, separate mice, spread-out, over the course of nearly 3-months, that were just singular travellers - these were caught at different times of the 24-hour period (4;30am, 10:45am, 5:20pm). I had even completely forgot about re-baiting the two traps and the old, rock-hard, stale bait, STILL managed to be attractive in some way to these nomadic travelling mice?! One of them died whilst it was in the trap, before I came home after a week-long period away from my property (the traps are on view, in my kitchen, in-between my fridge + oven & the divider - one trap either side of the divider). It was unclear how long the poor fella was deceased, as rigor mortis had already set-in and the mouse was stiff as a board! Also, shortly after, a couple of days later, there was a random dead mouse in the middle of my floor, as if it were looking for the other mouse (?)... I only got this impression because, when I was catching the first 7 mice, I noticed that one of the prisoners was caught in the trap whilst another was frantically trying to help it and was not leaving it's side, even whilst I was stood right there in-front of them (they usually do a Speedy Gonzales, make like a banana and GTFO of there!!). ***

Wahhay!
Works- mouse no more! Popped some peanut butter down for it, laid it along a wall and there he was next day. Didn’t even have to read instructions very easy to set up and let him free. Reusable too once I’ve washed it out. Dog safe which is what we also wanted. I didn’t want to poison as was located in utility room and a dead mouse would have stunk behind the units.

Ok but don't last....
Sent quickly. Catch mice. BUT don't leave those mice in there too long, they chew the plastic, pull out the spring, then try and escape! So even after releasing caught mice quickly over a course of a week they were unusable. I have now bought metal versions

Cat proof and caught a mouse.
Traps work. We back onto open fields and, despite having a cat, we still occasionally get mice in the house. Unfortunately, our cat is a terrible mouser and seems far more interested in bringing them indoors than catching them! We spotted a mouse running around and tried these traps. I baited the trap with crunchy peanut butter which according to another review is preferred to smooth. Caught the mouse within 48 hours. The trap was easy to set, secure, and caused no harm to the mouse. After failing spectacularly to catch the mouse herself, our cat spent quite a bit of time trying to get into the trap, but it held up perfectly and kept the mouse safe inside. If it'd got out she's that useless she would have just freed it to continue tormenting my Mrs like a character fro Tom and Jerry. The mouse was released completely unharmed a few miles away. A humane, effective, cat proof trap.

Safe and easy to set up. Delighted.
Delighted with these much easier to set up and set free than the last trap. Shrews are cute and annoying with their long 👃🐽
