I have just purchased a new computer and it only has 2 front USB ports which I thought I would be OK with, this turned out not to be the case.I have a lot of peripherals, external DVD player, card reader, headphone dongle etc and I found out the headphone dongle had interference when plugged in the back and the lead from the DVD player was way too short for me to put it anywhere sensible so had to go in the front. This is the reason I purchased this.What can I say a great little hub that attaches to my desk, aluminium construction and feels really solid. When attached to the desk just using finger pressure it is not going anywhere, it does not move and feels really sturdy.I first positioned it at the front of my computer, but because of the way it connects with the lead pointing downwards it was getting in the way and making my actual computer front USB sockets hard to get to. I moved it to the side of my desk and everything is hunky dory now. I suppose they could have supplied some right angle USB A adapters to negate this problem, but then again that would have increased the price and if you really want one they are available for about £5 on Amazon. One word if you go this route and you have it fitted to the side make sure you get the adapter that is handed for the way you have it, otherwise it will point to the front.I'm really happy with the hub and it has cured the problems I had.

I am so pleased to have extra ports using this. It's helpful having the power input on here too. Works very well. I still experience fast transfer rates through this. (I haven't done a speed check but it feels just as quick as it should be without any drop in speed).I'm using this with the Dell Latitude 7200 2-in-1 (core i5. 8th generation).When turning the power supply off, when it's connected through this, my screen goes blank and I have to wake it up again by pressing a key. I'm not sure if that's due to a setting in the computer causing this. Usually, however, when I turn the power off, the computer screen continues to stay on using its internal battery. If I find out any more on this I'll update with my findings.I'm overall very satisfied with this device. Gives me extra ports with decent speeds, and allows me to connect it to a TV via HDMI cable, whilst charging my computer through it with my power supply.

I've bought two of these and as a hub they are excellent, speed is good, I love the extra Micro USB connection to add more power if you need it. It looks very nice, in black or silver and all in all its a very nice device and good value. But the clamp isn't brilliant, if you clamp to anything that isn't square it pops off very easily. but even on square surfaces it can pop off easily if you have a snug USB connector. But I'd still have another.

Bolted onto the side of my desk and makes a very handy usb port, all ports work well, attractive, neat and easy to set up, just what I needed. Solid construction and easy to figure out straight out of the box, better than cheaper alternatives. Always plug into your rear usb's as the front ones are often split from main ones and requires main usb slot to make all 4 ports work properly.

Young son knew what he wanted and overall is very happy with it

Nothing much to dislike.It is sturdy, it is compact, and, it works very well.Charges the dwvice all the while being able to use data and screen inputs.Effectivly replaced my older, and massive, desktop bound powered port splitter.

This is a great idea and was bought to try and keep my desk tidy. It looks and feels great and was fastened to the edge of the desk perfectly.Unfortunately, it’s not very good. From day one, it started dropping out (keyboards stopping working, camera not operating). It’s so bad, I’ve returned it for a refund and reverted back to my old USB hub that works perfectly.
