Strong Matcha, best for baking and not Lattes
I am still new to Matcha and this is my 3rd powder. I've had ceremonial grades in the past and wanted to try a culinary one. It is definitely not as refined of a taste as a ceremonial one but it does have a strong matcha flavor. It's just too bitter for me to enjoy without sweetener (where I usually don't sweeten my ceremonial matcha) I think this powder is great in a pinch and for cooking/ baking but is not ideal for a matcha lattes. I will probably get a different one and save this for baking (Matcha macarons or a matcha tea cake sound wonderful).

My new coffee... Mushrooms
So I got the mushroom powder because I can't drink coffee or any caffeine anymore. Well I cried 🤣 I love my coffee feel like I can't live without it so I tried this due to it was the only one that didn't say anything about caffeine, well I'm back in love , I make it like a regular cup of coffee with my powered creamer and my sugar free coffee syrup and yum it tastes just like coffee, I'm actually back to order a second bag , OH! At first I was like wow that's a small bag , it's actually not a little goes a long way my bag lasted me a whole month

Great product for value
Color was good, and if you realize you are buying a cheaper product then all is great. It is a lower quality but that is what I bought, great for that everyday time with a great flavor. A little coarser than a few but again this is what I bought so am very happy with it considering that.

Low on Zing & Bling
The worst part about this matcha is the color of the prepared tea is dull (brownish) so my favorite part of the matcha tea aesthetic has gone missing when I prepare this. I'm going to be honest and mention that this Carrington Culinary offering is of the quality and price of a matcha you might expect to find lurking on the twice marked down shelf at a TJX style discount store. And as the saying goes, "You get what you pay for". LOL It's culinary grade and rather bitterly bland, and it has no yumminess unless you add something extra that will pep it up. Upon opening the nicely sealed package, you will see that the powder is a dull yellowish to brownish green. And let me say this right here: a dull hue in matcha tea powder is NOT a good sign. An emerald green Matcha powder is what you want. But there's hope! Being organic and earthy tasting, when I added finely crushed green mint leaves and warm soy milk it made an interesting and healthy tasting altenative evening drink. As it doesn't seem to have a high caffeine content , it brings a mellow vibe. It may also be good for making sauces or whatever, so for this low price, it's worth ordering some I think. Plus maybe you'll get a batch from a richer flavored harvest. FYI: Mine was dated best by 10/01/2026. Matcha Tea is like wine in that harvest date affects the flavor.

Oh this garbage
Horrible both my boyfriend and I had off allergic reactions causing both our mouths to itch AGGRESSIVELY. He’s allergic to shellfish, I’m allergic to mango. So very odd. But don’t waste your money seems like the cheaper option but it’s a lie

Value for the price is right
For the price is pretty good, but the only matcha I have tried. Definitely a lot of caffeine at 1.5 to 2 teaspoons. I only use in lattes pretty much and the taste is good(once mixed together), strong enough, and maybe a little chalky. I kind of like that slightly chalky texture with milk though personally and the price is right. I might try baking something, or ice cream/yogurt in the future.

A little earthy but not bad at all.
Little smaller of a package than expected but it’s ok. Pure ingredients. Literally just reishi, lions Maine, and chaga powder listed as ingredients. I like to put a scoop in my matcha or chai tea. You could probably sneak it into foods and smoothies as well.
