A must buy for a hifi enthusiasts!
Superb item, quality build, sound quality is awesome. Very cheap way to get into valve amplifiers - and with an adapter - it opens up to some good tube rolling options.

Fantastic amplifier
This is my second tube amplifier, TA26 was sounding clean like solid state and so it was sold. Well TA66 IS is giving that stereotype of the sound, warmish, thicker, impactfull, my HD800S never sounded that punchy with juicy midrange and 6xx just gets sub that is not present on my solid state (Aune S17 Pro). As you could tell, I am very happy with a purchase and finally my HD800S is getting use now, on solid state is just too analytical and good for classical music only, now tubed makes justice to rock/metal. Fantastic product, if you want to try OTL tube amplifier this is a good start and sound is really 👍

Sweet sounding tube goodness
I've been using this today, and set it up as soon as it arrived. Took around 5 minutes to set up in my system. It sounds amazing, nice thick mids, very detailed, but not too much to fatigue. Very well made, and the tubes look great when glowing in the dark. The red volume knob also glows blue around the edge, all in all one of the best hi-fi purchases I have ever made.

PRETTY BAD as a preamp. GOOD as a headphone amp
Here's why; Mine had a lot of humming noise when connected as a preamp , going into my 50w transistor power amp. It also had terrible microphonics everytime the VOL knob was used. I returned my unit because of these faults . HOWEVER , there seems to be too much GAIN for use as a preamp, the Vol too loud in 1/4 turn , so not much range. and WORSE still, the STEPPED VOL has large jumps in volume ( when used as a preamp , its OK for headphone use as you have much more vol range ) ... even so , the stepped vol is VERY CLUNKY, stiff to turn , a simple ALPS RK27 pot would've worked much better . Overall I preferred the LITTLE DOT MK2, sonically they're extremely similar, but stepped vol on this is tough to get used to

Addictive sound
Excellent for the price. Well built. Sounds lovely with high impedance dynamic headphones (tried with HD600 and ZMF Aeolus). Lush, rich and open. Sounds effortless, the music flows. Detail pretty good too for price.

Interested in Tube Sound, the TA-66 is your first choice
Get your Kicks on TA 66. Back in Arizona, don't forget Winona, get your kicks on TA 66. I had some dirty thoughts about tube amps, I do miss that over dose of sugary sounds, particularly bluesy jazzy vocals. So I was toying with tube headphones to add to my Bedroom-HiFi. So I decided to jump on the XDUOO TA-66 bandwagon and very glad I did. A lot of people on the comments section have gone into detail about the sound quality and I concurr 100% I just want to say something about Tube Rolling and give some assurances about experimenting, with the usual caveats of course. I wanted to replace the generic 6N2 tube amp with Psvane Art Series 6LS7 using a 6LS7(6NS7) converter from Jemosa. So here's my feedback. On the HeadFi forum I had conflictling reports from other people, my first foray into tube rolling, I thought was going to be a costly experiment that went wrong. Thankfully this wasn't so........................phew! Though the Psvane representative alluded to the 6SL7(6SN7) to 6N2 adapter/converter should work in theory because it has the same voltage (6.3v) but slightly higher current. The Royal Mail delivered the adapter today. Excitement and trepidation at the same time, well at least it fits into the 6N2 socket, turned it on, popped on the headphones........Whey Hey ...Rock on Jimmy! I felt like Doctor Frankenstein or Franken-----Steen. Amazing. I can confirm the Jemosa 6LS7 to 6N2 adapter-converter works perfectly and allows you to use Psvane Art Series 6LS7 in the XDUOO TA-66 6N2 socket. I'm getting excellent sound from these tubes. This opens the door for many people who want to tube roll on the TA-66 :) Aesthesics is good too, two large tubes looks better on the eyes, than the generic 6N2 tube, reminds me of a little chipmunk sticking it's head out of golf hole. I've listen to it for only half an hour on my TA-66 and the sound emitting from the Psvane 6SL7 (6SN7) Art Series tube is beautiful. It does require some burning in of course. The Jemosa 6LS7 to 6N2 adapter-converter does what it says on the label. Impressions so far: Silent background More detail Wider sound stage More natural ambience. A little brighter than the generic 6N2 but I think the tube needs to settle and burn in properly. My thoughts: I won't say this has made the sound of the TA-66 double as good but it has improved the sound greatly and for £90 for the cost of Psvane tube, I'd say it's well worth the investment. Final thoughts: Don't waste your time on 12AX7 tube rolling, this is the real deal!

bad tranformer buzz
item had offical tape cut and more offical tape over the top of it. (looks like a refurb unit) the iten when plugged in has a VERY noticable transformer hum or buzz, its a physical noise not on the headphone output. i'd guess this was returned by another buyer because of this and they just sent it out again. if it didnt have the buzz the actual output seems very good which makes it even more upsetting this is the 4th xduoo model, i have bought, one (xDuoo TA-20 Plus) made a clicking sound after an hour of use and stopped working totally, took 3 months to get a refund from xduoo directly, they wanted videos and i had to pay the shipping etc but it wasnt cheap so i did return it. another (XDUOO TA-20) i still have had a balanced output on it that didnt work (one channel totally dead) but the singel ended worked fine, i have a portable dac amp(xd05 plus) from them that works great, and now i have this one with a hell of transformer buzz. not sure why i keep buying from them, its not worth returning but it seems anything i get from them that has a transformer in it doesnt seem to like my 240v or something. i have used a dc blocker and filter on the mains to try and remove issues but no fix, i might try making a buck tranformer to drop to 220v or look for a replacement transformer. If your happy to return items i'd recomend getting xduoo stuff from amazon not directly from the company to make returns easier and i wish you good luck that you get a working one

Over my expectation
First of all, I want to mention that I am not even remotely an audiophile in the usual sense of the word, but I like to listen to all genres of music in the best possible conditions and according to my preferences. I'm driving this "little" baby with a FiiO K11 R2R DAC/ Headphone Amp, over the Line Output. It is a sensible difference between the sound directly from the Fiio or through the TA-66. The Xduoo TA-66 is an excellent headphone amplifier that has completely transformed my listening experience with my Beyerdynamic DT 990 Edition Pro 600-ohm headphones. This combination brings out the absolute best in my music, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The TA-66 is a work of art. Its robust construction and elegant design exude quality. The glowing tubes not only add a classic aesthetic but also hint at the warm, analog sound it delivers. The volume knob is has strong clicks when you rotate it. The TA-66 drives the 600-ohm DT 990 effortlessly. The amplifier provides ample power, allowing these demanding headphones to shine. The soundstage is incredibly expansive, creating an immersive listening environment where every instrument and vocal has its space. The detail retrieval is simply astonishing. With the TA-66, I hear nuances in my favorite tracks that I never noticed before. The bass is tight and controlled, the mids are lush and natural (maybe a little bit recessed, as I like), and the trebles are airy and crisp, complementing the DT 990's signature sound. The TA-66 is not just a powerhouse but also very versatile. The gain adjustment in 24 steps, allowinga good control over the volume. Tube rolling may be an exciting option for those who want to tweak the sound even further, but in my opinion, the stock tubes already deliver an outstanding experience. For the price, the Xduoo TA-66 is an absolute steal. It competes with amplifiers that cost significantly more and often outperforms them in terms of sound quality and build. It’s a perfect match for high-impedance headphones like the DT 990, and the synergy is magical. If you own a pair of high-impedance headphones, the Xduoo TA-66 is a must-have. It delivers an unparalleled combination of detail, warmth, and power that transforms your music into a breathtaking sonic experience. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Ottimo OTL
Cmq ottimo ampli ottimo acquisto, consiglio assolutamente. P.S occhio perché come tutti i valvolari scalda molto!
