Review: Best Extractor Fan, I have 4 so far - This is my 4th Airflow iCON extractor fan, I have the 2 of the 15, a 30 and a 60 now. They are smart with a variety of sensors (I like the timer and humidity the best) or dumb with a pullcord. Relatively quiet, are stylish in my opinion (for a fan) and my favourite feature is the iris shutter which prevents any draughts. My 1st 15 model is 10 years old in a family bathroom and still fine, the 60 model has been in use for 5 years (in a garden room that had a hot tub in it for the first 4 years, it kept humidity in balance and I had no issues with damp, mold etc in a 75 cubic metres space with plastered walls and ceiling) , the 2nd 15 model is in an ensuite bathroom for 4 years and I am just about to fit the 30 model to another ensuite but with a long vent hose (6m) so went for the higher power. They have been flawless in operation. Quick tip, remove bottom screw, rotate anticlockwise to remove iris shutter and I use my cordless hand vacuum with the brush head to clean the internal grills. The iris shutter takes around 20 seconds to open when it is first turned on. I showed it to my builder, he now fits them everywhere including in his own house.
Review: Works with a gentle purring - Working really well, sleek modern design with a futuristic opening and closing mechanism, reminiscent of the spacecraft airlocks in the 2001 A Space Odyssey movie. It’s really quiet and functionally efficient, but its appearance is a whole world away from the fan and grill behemoths that I replaced. One of the best things I’ve purchased in an eon. Delivered promptly and with fantastic fitting instructions.

## Features

- iCON 30 Installation – Requires a 160mm hole for recessed installation (wall or ceiling), or a 110mm hole for surface mounting (wall or ceiling). Use a 100mm duct for wall installations and ensure vapour barriers are restored after installation.
- Energy-Efficient & Quiet Operation – Airflow iCON 30 extractor fan Operates at just 10.7W, (0.062A) delivering powerful airflow up to 33 l/s (121 m³/h) while maintaining quiet (33.3dB Noise @3m) performance with an innovative iris shutter that prevents backdrafts and minimizes noise.
- Iris Shutter Technology – Automatically closes when the fan is not in use, preventing backdraughts and blocking cold air from entering. Keeps your bathroom warm and helps lower energy bills.
- Basic Fan with Optional Control Modules – The fan is supplied as a standard basic unit that can be operated with light switch activation. To customise functionality, a variety of control modules are available for purchase separately, including options for timers, humidity sensors, motion sensors, and dual-speed settings. Control modules are not included and must be bought separately.
