ALTRUIST spray, 200 ml (Pack of 2)

I am impressed that these products were created by a dermatologist who should know what they are doing.I also like the idea that a portion of the profits goes to a charity that helps people in deprived areas who really need an effective sunscreen due to lack of skin pigment.

A few years ago my review would have been a 5 star one! Wow what an incredible suncream and so easy to apply! Especially on children. However they sadly changed the bottles and the new spray tops are useless. After the first spray they stop working and the liquid leaks out when you press it. It’s happened with each of the new bottles I’ve bought. Complete waste of money now and left with bottles full that don’t work. The last time I emailed the company I got no reply. Very disappointing as it really was an incredible product before the packaging changed. I’d hoped they would go back to the tried and tested incredible one but I see they are still selling these unfit for purpose bottles instead.

Was recommended this product after a bout of skin cancer , haven’t used the product yet but the buying experience was painless , good product choice , well packaged and prompt delivery, can’t ask for much more really

Bought this for a recent holiday as in the past the children have reacted to different sunscreens.I am delighted to say that this is a great product. Ir's very easy to apply, great protection and very gentle on the skin and there were no problems with skin allergies. It is also water resistant. We used this as a top up lotion throughout the day.The only problem we did have was with the nozzle after a couple of days. I'm unsure if the plastic got to hot and then it was tricky to depress the nozzle to get a good spray but we could still use the product.

So below is a review I wrote a couple of years ago giving this spray 5 stars. However, unfortunately I have had to update my review because Altruist have changed the design of their bottles. The nozzle blocks within the first 5 seconds of use and the spray doesn’t come out. I found this out on a beach in Dubai in over 30 degree heat with a 6 and and 8 year old. You have to get a wet cloth of really rub at the nozzle for any of it to come out and when it does it is intermittently. The product development team should all be sacked for this. Did nobody think of even trying this out before you opted for these cheaper ones? It wasn’t just the one, we had 6 and all of them were the same. My sister has the same problem with hers.Here is my review from a couple of years ago… such a shame as this was the best sun protection spray I had found that didn’t contain any nasty chemicals.I've been spraying the SPF 50 mist on my two toddlers over the past few weeks and as long as you reapply it every couple of hours it works perfectly and they haven't burned at all in this recent hot spell.A few of us went to a cricket match at Old Trafford on Sunday and we were all day in the blazing sun without any shade. I applied the mist spray 3 times from 11am - 7pm as you could really feel the sun's heat on us (it was 30 degrees) and we all turned a nice Brown colour without any burning.My friend had skin cancer and has to be very careful. When she saw the spray the other day she said her dermatologist had highly recommended it to her. Plus it has no nasties like parabens and SLSs which is important to me as I don't use any chemicals at all in our home and all toiletries are natural. I found it really difficult to get natural sun protection but this brand is great.The mist is perfect for children and adults as you don't need to rub it in. Just be careful if there is any wind as it'll blow away in it and spray outside as with all mists as it can make wooden or marble floors slippery if you do it indoors. You don't really have to rub it in, just wait a few seconds and it disappears into your skin without being greasy. I'd really recommend it and is a great price as the usual branded mists are double this price unless on offer.

This is the 3rd time I have bought Altuist sunscreen spf 50. It really protects you from the sun & feels good on your skin. I also spray a little on my hair to protect the colour.

Product is very good and light but the nozzle on all 4 I bought soon becomes loose and you then find it BERY difficult to use it. I hope they have realised their poor quality nozzles and replace them with something a little more substantial that doesn't break free. If not I certainly will never buy it again which is a pity.

Great protection, it does what is says in the description. The issue is getting the spray to work.Ive bought this product many times over the last few years and it WAS my preferred sun protection spray, but there’s been a problem with the spray on the last couple of orders. I have struggled to get the spay to work, I often throw a can away whilst its still got product in it. I have a virtually full can that does not work.
