Folds small and extremely good grip
I am an amateur and this is my first "serious" yoga mat, before this I just used the cheapest one I can buy in a department store - but I couldn't pack it in my suitcase. This mat is a piece of pure rubber, so it has pretty strong rubber smell, but I'm ok with it. The smell seems to fade gradually, but I don't think it will ever disappear completely. The rubber is wery sticky in the bottom side (to fix the mat on the floor) and textured like a fine mesh on the top side. Probably there are some cotton fibers interwowen with rubber fibers on the top side, it looks and feels like this. The top side is very grippy but not sticky. The mat is much, much grippier than your standard cheap mat, it's easy to do poses like downward dog, but it's actually harder to do transitions when you have to drag your feet or body against the mat, like when you come to the upward dog pose in sun salutation and have to pull your prone body forward. Still, I like this mat much better than all the cheap ones I had before. I use it on a wooden floor and it feels fine to lie on it despite it's so thin. The only time I feel I need more cushion is when I'm planking on my elbows, it's a little painful. It folds easily to a size of a folded hoodie or jeans, so it's easy to pack it. But it's not extra light, it weighs about 1 kg just like a standard mat.So far I cleaned it once using wet wipes, and because it's so grippy, cleaning was a little hard. The tag with the little frog looks cute and classy, but I've had to remove it because I kept touching it when I practice, and it feels very differently and not grippy at all.

Good quality travel yoga mat
I was researching for months until I finally decided on this manduka eko superlite Travel yoga mat. It rolls up smaller than average yoga mats and actually feels quite heavy as all natural rubber mats do. The size and thickness is just ideal for bringing the mat on the road.I’ve recently brought the mat along on a 2 months backpacking trip to Philippines and it’s easy to carry once I have my yoga mat sling carrier on. It might be too thin for some but I do feel myself getting used to that. It’s also non slip but does feel slippery when it’s wet so you do need a towel handy to wipe it. And yes there is a rubber smell when your nose is close to the mat but it’s not a big deal.I also use this when I’m in my own country and I’m running around studios for my classes. I’m a yoga teacher if that helps.Really useful and good quality yoga mat. Highly recommended if you won’t be perspiring a lot on the mat. Value for money as I can see myself using this for years to come.

Travel Mat Turned Everyday Mat!
This mat is a fantastic little thing! I initially bought this for a recent trip I took but am finding myself using it pretty regularly at home and at the studio I frequent...it's just so convenient to carry around. Here's why I bought it:- It's thin. Super thin. Which makes it really great for travel as you can fold it into a backpack, but if you have touchy knees, it might be best to avoid this or invest in a cushy yoga towel.- The smell is not THAT bad. People have commented saying this thing REEKS of rubber and while it's true that it IS made of 100% rubber and DOES have a particular odor...it's by no means overpowering. That being said, I think every mat is probably different and some might be more pungent than others. If you're averse to the smell of rubber au natural (I like it) then don't buy this mat.- It's sticky...until you sweat. A travel mat can't be everything, right? This mat does a great job of maintaining stick for about the first half of my hot vinyasa flow practice, and then I usually throw down a yoga towel to keep my downward-facing dog steady. Easy peasy.- It stays in place on a bamboo floor throughout the aforementioned yoga class. Fo rizzle.- The price...if you have Amazon Prime. Shipping on the Manduka website was an additional $20. I admit to living in a small town in Maine, so this is mostly understandable...but Prime saved me that $20.

Still needs a towel over to prevent slipping--but any normal towel will do (yogitoes skidless towel not required!)
First, the color Zuri is quite bright. Even compared to the image I attached, it is brighter in real life. I would have opted for a dimmer colour (eg. acai), if I saw it in person. There is some weight to the mat, I was surprised how heavy it was considering the thickness. While it is convenient to put into your bag as it is foldable, it would not save you any muscle power lugging it around. This is a sticky mat, and in a good way.I have another yoga mat which works fine with a Yogitoes Skidless Towel on top to prevent slipping. I got this because of reviews that it is sticky enough so that you won't slip.I used this yesterday to do some sun salutations.I am somewhat disappointed because I STILL NEED A TOWEL over it, otherwise my hands will slip (once I had worked out a sweat). The good news is that ANY TOWEL WILL DO. I typically use the Yogitoes Skidless Towel on top of yoga studio mats (or my other yoga mats) to prevent slipping--for this a normal towel worked. That is still a plus, in my opinion.Would have given 3 1/2 stars if I could due to (1) color variation, (2) weight, (3) doesn't eliminate using a towel. #3 was quite critical because that is the reason why I got this in the first place.

great travel mat!
I love this mat, it fits in my backpack so I can yoga after school. It's got good grip, but is a bit thin for groundwork you would do in Yin or restorative yoga. I pack a little towel for the times there is knee on the mat poses I have to hold.
