Sawyer Products SP5642 20% Picaridin Insect Repellent, Lotion, 4-Ounce, Twin Pack,White

I’ve used one can so far from this two-pack of Sawyer Products SP5762 20% Picaridin Insect Repellent, and I’m pleased with the results. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, keep bugs from biting me. I’ve used it during outdoor activities where mosquitoes and other insects are usually a problem, and it provided solid protection the entire time.The continuous spray is convenient and gives good coverage without needing to rub it in. I also appreciate that it’s not greasy or overly scented like some other repellents. So far, I haven’t had a single bite while wearing it, which speaks for itself.Overall, I’m happy with the performance and will continue to use it. It's a great product if you're looking for a dependable insect repellent.

This lotion is a game changer!!! Just recently moved to Florida. I’ve tried different sprays, vanilla oil, soaps…. This lotion is the GOAT!!!! I work outdoors and spend time on my lanai. I’ve been a walking buffet!! Not with this!!! I put it on in the morning and it lasts alllllll day until my shower. It works no matter how high the humidity!! I’ve had ZERO bites since I started using it!!! I will never use anything else!!!!I bought 2 more bottles almost immediately, to share with my husband who also works outdoors!!! A little goes a long way with this too!! I put a bottle in my work bag just in case a friend at work needs some!!! I am never without this lotion!!!! You shouldn’t be either!!!! Listen to me now and believe me later!!!! No more itching, scabs, white scars!!!! Tons of thanks to whomever created this product!!! I’m telling everyone that’ll listen!!!!!

I started using Sawyer insect repellent in 2007 on a trip to Belize. Their time release DEET product kept my whole family safe from all the various insects in that tropical environment. I moved to the South in the USA last year and need to wear some type of repellent every day from late March through at least October, so ordered the new Sawyers with 20% picaridin. It works as well or better than the older time release DEET formula here in the South, keeping the biting bugs at bay. My only complaint is that it is relatively expensive. The 4 once bottle size was gone in less than 3 weeks while the older bottles lasted months. I will probably buy again, but will test out some other less expensive brands first.

I have always been than person mosquitos prefer. Maybe it's body chemistry. It's been a pain many times in my life.When Avon's Skin So Soft came out, I loved it, because it actually repelled biting bugs; however, I didn't want to be greasy all the time. So I bought the lotion Avon made at the beginning of this century. Avon abandoned their original lotion, though, and the current version is weak and a poor comparison.This is relevant, because picaridin is the active ingredient that repels mosquitos in Avon's Skin So Soft.This product works wonderfully for me, and I seem to be mosquito prime rib.There is a slight learning curb to use this, so as not to waste it or use too much. Hold the can about a foot away from your skin and use short bursts. You can smooth it out with your hands, if covering your legs, or forearms if you are spraying on your arms.I will also spray a small ammount into my shirt sleeves.It has not stained our clothes. It works up here in prime mosquito real estate (Pacific Northwest).More, I am a fairly serious aquarist, and with minimal washing, I can clean my tanks (elbows in) without worrying about hurting my fish: there is no residue on the water surface, and the fish don't show stress.We also use it for our dogs by spraying it on our palms and then rubbing it on their fur. It comes off well enough with a pet wipe.Really, I don't have a complaint about this product. The price is doable, it works, it doesn't damage clothes, and it doesn't appear to have adverse effects on our pets.If Avon worked for you, this will also, absolutely.

The two 6oz cans cost less than one similarly sized can I used to buy at my local supermarket. It is non greasy and the picaridin repellent actually lasts 12 hours in my experience, compared other formulations. (This applies to mosquitoes and ticks; for other types of insects like flies, it claims to last 8 hours). It says it can be used on “the whole family” which is in line with EPA recommendations of 10-20% picaridin for toddlers.The smell isn’t bad and dissipates quickly unless you soak yourself in it. I particularly like this formulation since it does not stain or degrade clothing, surfaces or equipment and I find that I can pretreat my clothing and bedding with it thus reducing the amount I have to spray on my skin. It seems to last longer by doing this as well. I have purchased this specific product many times and am quite satisfied.

I usually can't tolerate wearing bug sprays as they cause my skin to become incredibly hot and cause a large amount of discomfort all over my body. This is likely just an aversion to DEET and other chemicals in common bug sprays.This bug spray changes that all! It's almost like it's not even there as there's no reaction when I apply it to my skin -- finally! I found it to be quite effective while watering plants at night in Florida where there's no shortage of mosquitoes and I usually have to wear long sleeves and pants to water without getting bitten.Shorts, a t-shirt and this spray and the bugs left me alone. I also appreciated that the spray wasn't oily and/or greasy.I will be buying this going forward to save myself from unnecessary bug bites.
