SAMANTHA FISH Live - Pink

I am still not sure if this is a bootleg or not. Either way I don't care as it's Ms Fish cooking up her voodoo blues, country & gospel brew live in the studio. I had problems getting my sticky fingers on this album and it was worth the wait.Buy it for the audio clarity of a studio band on fire...and the songs.

this was ahard album for me to find , but i think this is packaged wrong , was expecting a live album with audience making noise , but this is a album done live in the studio , still a great album she rocks

This is NOT a live album, but a re-recording of select songs from "Kill or be Kind" done live in the studio. For fans of Samantha it is a must have, and shows her prowess live without the distraction of fans cheering. However Cleopatra does not press the best vinyl IMHO. A loud, scraping flaw mars side one during "Dream Girl".It should have been a cd release.

This is a live in the studio recording of tracks from Samantha Fish's "Kill Or Be Kind" album. I believe this recording is taken from a live Youtube broadcast she did promoting the albums release. The Good: These live studio cuts absolutely have more appeal than the album cuts, more energy, detail, and the sound quality makes you feel like you're sitting behind the desk while the band plays in front of you. The quiet studio atmosphere here is just crazy good, and the vinyl pressing is excellent.The Not So Good: I personally do NOT find these tracks to be among Sam's best work, "Kill Or Be Kind" is one of her weaker albums, IMO. And the track listing here is also on the mellow side, with three mellow tracks on side A alone. It is in no way a great representation of Samantha's musical prowess and high energy stage performances.If you're looking to hear what everyone's been talking about with Sam, look elsewhere. This disc is great for collectors like myself who collect everything Samantha Fish. It's a great recording, and I'm happy to own it. If you're like me, go for it, it's a quality pressing.

I liked the album because it is a pink vinyl and I was going to get it signed by Samantha Fish but was ill that day.

Habe Samantha Fish vor Kurzem erst live in den Staaten kennenlernen dürfen. Ihre Vielseitigkeit, ihr Songwriting, ihre Fähigkeiten an Gitarre und Gesang sind wirklich herausragend.Leider scheint es bisher kein offizielles Live-Album von ihr zu geben - bis auf dieses. Die hier ist aber ohne Publikum im Studio aufgenommen. Das ist immer noch kraftvoll, aber wer sie live gesehen hat, kann das wahrscheinlich nachvollziehen.Die erste Seite ist etwas kommerzieller bestückt, die zweite etwas ausgefallener. Mein Favorit auf Seite 2: »Bulletproof«. Das war der allererste Song, den ich überhaupt von ihr hörte. Es war bei einem Konzert 2023 in New Orleans (Crescent Blues Festival). Das dauerte keine drei Minuten und sie hatte mich am Wickel. Bottleneck auf einer »Zigarrenbox«, dazu eine wirklich starke Stimme, die sich in Blues, Rock, Soul und Jazz gleichermaßen zu Hause fühlen kann.Obwohl es hier »nur« sieben Stücke sind, ist die Auswahl aus meiner Sicht repräsentativ für alle ihre besten Attribute als Musikerin. Dazu so dynamisch, wie das ohne Publikum geht und sehr gut produziert.Auch gut für Einsteiger. An diesen Songs kann man sich ganz gut orientieren, was einem am meisten von ihr liegt.Ein aktuelles Live-Album MIT Publikum hätte von mir wahrscheinlich 6 Sterne bekommen. So sind es »nur« 5.

zuerst mal die Aufnahme und die Pressqualität sind super, die Songauswahl gefällt mir.Samantha ist eine gute Gitarristin, der Gesang ist für mich gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Die Schallplatte ließ sich durch die starke statische Aufladung nicht aus der Innenhülle, die nicht gefüttert ist, entnehmen, also Innenhülle vorsichtig zerrissen (neue,gefütterte Innehülle lag schon parat) und die Scheibe freigelegt. Das ist jetzt keine große Sache. Was aber nicht in Ordnung war zeigte die erste Besichtigung . Seite 1 hat eine kleine Verunreinigung, kann schon mal vorkommen. Die selbe Verunreinigung auf Seite 2 ist leider mit einem kleinen "Krater" gesegnet (auf Bild 2 gut erkennbar). Schade, denn die Platte sah ansonsten gut und flach aus.Zur Klangqualität kann ich leider nichts sagen, dafür war mir der Stylus zu teuerDrei Sterne gebe ich Amazon für den reibungslosen Versand und die wirklich gute Verpackung.
