Eye opening and Relatable: Local Healthcare is now Global
As a bioethicist, working to facilitate communication and navigate ethical dilemmas, I was excited to discover this book by Molinsky and Hahn. Reading “Forging Bonds in a Global Workforce: Build Rapport, Camaraderie, and Optimal Performance No Matter the Time Zone” enabled me to view cultural and regional differences between healthcare providers, patients, and families through a new lens and the 6 P’s framework is practical and easy to apply to each individual situation. The real life examples were particularly engaging. They helped me to better understand and appreciate the importance of the 6P’s in building trust-based relationships. Trust is the core of providing and obtaining optimal healthcare. This book is a great tool and a must read for everyone engaged in the profession of healthcare.

The leading guide to succeed in cross-cultural communications and management!
What I love about Forging Bonds in a Global Workforce is that it speaks the real experience that executives and managers truly have. It is very accessible and the process the authors lay out makes a world of sense and is intuitive to apply. I'm eager to start applying it in my own work which involves engagement with global clients and partners. I'm very confident it will work. The case examples and real world stories bring it to life in very compelling ways. I find it miles ahead of comparable management books on the topic. It's going to be something that really helps and I will encourage my partners to read and use it. Great book!

Great read and addition to your skills toolbox
Everyone can benefit in their professional lives by adding the tools learned from this easy-to-digest book full of enjoyable scenarios and thought-provoking questions. I have read all 3 of Dr. Molinsky's books and found them accessible with clear and actionable take-aways. I posted my recommendation on social media and in just one week have already heard back from five friends/colleagues/connections who have purchased the new book and found its content valuable. they all mentioned that "it was a fun read." I would ask that you dive in as well to help forge these bonds and grow as a pro.

Practical, up-to-date, easy to apply
I’m delighted to discover that this book is as practical as Molinsky’s previous Global Dexterity and Reach. This time he’s joined by Melissa Hahn to bring together their decades of experience combined with extensive interviews to provide up-to-date and extremely practical explanations of what can be complex workplace situations. In global contexts. Virtual or face-to-face. With different configurations of working together. The title words “Forging Bonds” gives me an image of strength and solidity knowing that a forge allows for flexibility and change as well. The Molinsky-Hahn “forge” includes a finely crafted, flexible 6-P framework: Power, Purpose, Place, Privacy, Pacing, Presence. We can use these 6 P’s to determine what’s most pertinent to a particular situation and problem-solve for “optimal performance.”The strength of Molinsky and Hahn’s approach is their recognition that people are members of many “cultures” not just national cultures. As such we are reminded to hold our opinions lightly and be flexible as we get to know ourselves and those with whom we are “forging bonds.” I highly recommend Forging Bonds in a Global Workplace for both individuals and organizations in the global space.

Insightful and extremely useful yet easy and enjoyable to read
As an American who has studied and worked abroad, I wish this book had come along years ago! I can only imagine how much confusion and frustration I could have avoided if I had had its guidance and insights sooner. The book is very easy to read. That is not to say, however, that the content is shallow. Quite the opposite! Indeed, I found myself thinking deeply about each concept and reflecting back on my own prior experiences with crossing cultures - whether it be studying in Ireland or working with companies in the UK and Sweden. To make a non-fiction book both easily digestible and highly thought-provoking is extremely challenging, but somehow these authors manage to do so. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is considering studying or working in another country, as well as to anyone who works for an organization in their home country where they must interact with colleagues from other cultures - which honestly includes practically everyone these days!

Must read for working with different cultures!
This book was so helpful in learning how to balance other cultures, as well as your own. It breaks down specific examples to dig in a little deeper, and provides you with the tools you’ll need to be successful! I am an American, and my eyes have opened up to so much more, knowing there are key tools out there to use when faced with a challenging cross cultural engagement! Cannot recommend this book enough, it is written wonderfully!
