Q: do you think the trigger and lock assembly could be used to restore a functioning pistol?

I strongly doubt it. These are reproductions and made from cast metal. They look great but I am pretty sure it would not stand up to firing pressures. Guns look great. You would need to spend about 4 times as much for real firing gun kits. I have and they are great. These are costumers guns.

Q: Does the ram rod come out

No. The flintlock cocks and fires but the ram rod is fixed in place. This disappointed me, but otherwise I was pleased with the replica.

Q: Is it lead-free materials? pot metal? steel? what about the brass coating? bronze or leadfree brass? Thanks, looks a fine replica.

It's just a wall mounted non-firing replica. I see no need for any metallurgy tests. Looks good though.
