How long did it take to start "working"? I am going on a little over a week and nothing. :/

It took about 2 weeks. I was using it for my one year old at the time so it might vary for adults.

Does it come in a package to keep it cold?

The package it is delivered in doesn't keep it cold. But my understanding is you will want to keep it cold once it is opened.

I just received nature's sunshine probiotic from herbal remedies sent through amazon. was the probiotic refrigerated prior to sending it?

I have had the same reservations about ordering probiotics from Amazon, unless I want to pay overnight shipping, then it might be okay. Nature's Sunshine's probiotic DOES require refrigeration, as does any live-culture probiotic.

Best probiotic!

I use this for gut maintenance and to restore gut flora after antibiotics. I can always tell they make me feel better. Recently, after chemo I had a fever to spike. Took 5 at a time then opened up 3 more to allow the probiotics into stomach as they normally open in intestines. My fever left after about an hour. This happened 3 different times. Saved me from emergency room visits as it is very dangerous for chemo patients to get a fever.

I've been using this product for many years and have always been told to refrigerate it. This is the first time it was mailed without a cold pack. Since it is recommended the product be refrigerated Im very skeptical as to whether the probiotic is still ok to take.
