These make walking on ice much more safe.
This will be my third pair of Yactrax that I’ve owned in 12 years. They have definitely saved me more than a few times. I have never slipped while walking on Ice. Very easy to use, nothing needs to be done, just walk and the metal cleats does everything else. A few times while walking across my driveway without the Yaktrax, I fell backwards hitting my head on ice. Not with these. The elastic stretches a lot so one pair will fit many sizes. Walking on ice is much more safe. Be cautious if walking on slate or other type of hard material because you can slide. Very good traction on snow with ice.

Great traction and comfort!
This is my third set (ALL different) and by far my favorite. I have had the cleats that have metal pokes, metal prongs and these metal wire gripes...I did well with the metal pokes but they tend to break off easier. My husband and I live in Wisconsin and WALK a 5K every single morning. Rain, Sleet, Snow, Ice...we go out! These worked great on ice, sleet and some snow. The ones with the pokes and prongs worked great ONLY on ice. Snow and sleet not so much. They would get clogged up and I found they became one big block of ice I was always cleaning. Also the pokes and prongs were uncomfortable to walk on when I hit clear pavement/road. On ice great not so much on clean sidewalks. These however, were great on the surfaces above PLUS were very comfortable when I came across clear clean pavement, sidewalks and roads. I would have to stop to take off the other ones and put back on when I hit ice. NOT these!!! I wore them the entire time and still made great time! I recommend these for walkers. I am not a runner so can't attest to that but for distance walkers these were great and comfortable!! ON SIZING: I wear a 10M womens. I bought the small and read some reviews saying they were small for boots or hiking boots/shoes..I would AGREE. I was concerned since I would be at the beginning of a bigger size (MED) that they would stretch TOO much. So I bought a Small and Med. The small fit my Brooks shoes great and the Med did the trick for my Ahnu Hiking/walking boots. These were the definite winner!!

great until they arent
definitely keeps me from slipping and sliding, but the chains loosen up around the rubber and start to snag on the carpet of the apartment building as i leave. they're sturdy, but i wish they lasted a little longer :(

Well Worth It
These work great. We live in North East Wisconsin, Cold, Snow and Ice. My wife and I walk three miles a day year round and it was always treacherous this time of year. Now we can trek around with confidence. They go on easy enough and stay put on your boots. The hold fast on ice, and don't slip on clean pavement. We have put about ten miles on them now, and they don't show any sign of wear.

Lifesaver for walking on ice and snow
Great traction for walking my dog in the winter in Iowa. They fit on my boots and on my tennis shoes nicely. We recently had a lot of ice and these saved me from falling as I walked my dog. I have no complaints and I highly recommend them.

These really work, font wreck floors!
I am in love with my Yaktrax! We had weeks of heavy ice on our street (no sidewalks) and our dog still needed to be walked. After a few days of slipping and almost falling a number of times. A neighbor recommended Yaktrax. They made walking on ice like walking on dry pavement. Good on snow too. My beloved gave in and hit a pair, now he’s a Yaktrax fan too

Recommend
Purchased XL for a size 13 boot. Fits nicely. These work well. Traction on ice and show is much better. Walking feels more secure.

Work Well, Break Too Easily
Work well but seem unable to last beyond one winter season.

I find the Yak Trax product to be the best of all that are available. Easy to install, light and very durable. What with the salt used on the sidewalks today the rubber will eventually breakdown but mine lasted five years before this happened. Although I bought another pair I was able to repair the old ones with some bicycle tire tubing and Shoo Goo. A bit more expensive than some but what are your bones worth?

Great product. Don’t walk on tiles, polished boards/concrete with them on.
