Piece-count was correct...nothing missing. Extra Queens. Sufficiently weighted. No flaws in molding of the chessmen. Felts attached properly. Nice plastic chessmen!The mousepad chessboard arrives with creases due to the board being folded into a rectangle by manufacturer. Not the best way to treat a mousepad board, but the one they chose.However, that creasing can be undone by washing the pad in a washing machine.Every mousepad board I have had can be washed. This one washed nicely in a front-loader under the delicate/knit setting, without detergent. No running of inks. Creases gone. Air dry flat on a table.Should creases remain, wash again and while wet lay flat on a table, cover neatly with clean towels and set books or other weighty materials atop towels, evenly distributing the weight. This should negate and remove any residual signs of creasing. If you live in a region prone to mold, better forget this idea, though. Wait for board to dry, then do it.PRO-TIP: Mousepad boards can be rolled up into a wad for transport to a venue and generally unfurl without creases. A better idea is to use a board-quiver, or a mailing tube of sufficient diameter to accomodate the rolled-up board. Such a tube as you might buy from post office or office supply store. Roll board so that squares are on outside of board, visible to you. Insert into tube, and off you go. Board will unfurl flat when you are ready to play.This is a good chess set combo, well worth buying for yourself or as a gift to another. Have fun, and do not sweat the purchase. It is a decent inexpensive set!

The media could not be loaded. Outstanding chess set! Great chess pieces that are really well weight balanced, almost perfect chess board. There are a few things worth to mention: the chess board is made of silicon, so it’s going to be a little wavy all the time, don’t expect it to be completely flat; the carrying case is made of a soft material, so your chess pieces are not well protected, keep it mind and don’t put the case on the bottom of your bag.It’s a great product overall! I’m pretty sure it’s going to make its way to the top, because you pay the price for the value. I’d recommend to replace the case with the hard one, everything else is perfect.

This is a very nice chess set and board for not much money. The pieces are a good size and weight. It's up to taste whether you like the minor two-tone details, but I didn't mind them either way. The board is the highpoint of the set. It's really nice looking and the colors are rich. The overall size is great. It doesn't have the cheap look of most vinyl of silicon boards these days. The only problem is that the board is folded in the box and now mine won't lie flat. I've tried spraying it with water and even light ironing to remove the creases to no avail. It's a shame given how much I like the board though I'll keep it anyway. It would be a perfect 5 stars if it had been shipped better without the folding/creases.

I was impressed when this set arrived. These are my favorite classic "Zagreb" style chess pieces, with the down-facing knight and opposite colored finials. These are regulation FIDE and USCF size pieces. They feel like they are double-weighted, which prevents tipping over. Weighted pieces are also good for fast "blitz" games. Includes extra queens.It comes with a 20", 2 1/4" square mousepad board. like mousepad boards because they always lay flat. It also includes the soft case and bags for each color pieces. The case has enough room for a chess clock (not incl.)The price is a good deal. A complete set like this can go for $40 or more. I'm very happy!

I am a senior citizen and I use this set weekly as I meet with friends for conversation and a game or two of chess to stimulate my mind.
