Yes it's worth it.
I was surprised. I've only used it once but it did the job. Very easy and convenient to use. Well worth the cost. Much more handy than pulling out the big welder for a small quick job.

It works!!!
My patio furniture is coming apart and needed some welds so I got this to try to fix it. I watched a bunch of youtube videos on how it works. I also looked at getting someone to do the welds for me and this route is a cheaper route. Plus if they break in the future I can fix them again. I was able to repair weld the furniture with this thing. Now granted the face shield was not that great and its almost impossible to use. You almost need the glasses or welding hood. I ended up just closing my eyes on a few on them. Once you get it to start it goes pretty good. I'm not a welder. If you watch the youtube videos you can see real welders using it and giving pointers. Thats what I did and it worked. Happy with the purchase!! I would buy again!!

Hand welder
Worked as advertised, it is good for a quick fix on mild steel, if you have a big project using heavier metal get the big welder out otherwise it works good

Great little welder for small spot jobs off the back of an electric truck
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I wanted a small welder to run off the back of an electric vehicle when out camping to do emergency repairs at festivals. This works great. I first bought one of the hand held flux core welders with the little feeder wire ends but it failed as the wire regularly gets caught and wont feed.. this makes it hard to control the speed of the weld the way you can with this stick style welder. Overall this has been a great little welder to have in the back of the truck and the repairs have already paid for itself.

Chewed up
I’m sure I would’ve loved it but the ground clamp wire looked liked it has been chewed apart

I have a couple actual welders for the big jobs but this thing is great for small jobs. It's a bit awkward but you get used to it. Seems like it shouldn't work but works surprisingly well

Light in weight but amazingly can get the job done.

I usually don’t write reviews on anything but this one’s a special case. I’m pretty surprised at how well this little machine has been working for me. I have only ever welded with MIG machines that run off 220v (which we all know take way too long to set up and dial in) but this thing is pretty decent in comparison especially for the price and size. Don’t expect to get perfect beads with this thing but it has been great for small repair jobs and things that just need a few tacks. I find on the highest setting it tends to burn through anything thinner than 1/8th thickness and It also doesn’t seem to like anything bigger than a 1/8th rod. Was surprisingly easy to get the hang of considering this is my first ever stick welder. I haven’t had any problems with it having owned it for almost a month and a half but I think that’s more because I use it occasionally for small things. It doesn’t seem like the welder you should choose if you are in a shop all day everyday.

Takes a little getting used to, take your time practice a bit before starting your project, I found if using 3/32 rods set it between 2.5 and 3 for smoother better bead finish. You'll want to experiment with your settings I just find that worked well for me thats all. My rule of thumb is to start hotter then decrease / reduce if its to hot (eg. burning through the material ) just a heads up for beginners.
