I bought these bags as a cheaper alternative to xmas bags as I needed a large volume for xmas presents for a charity They not only looked nice , but were good quality as each bag held a large box of biscuits , a gift set & chocolates without tearing. Good value , will purchase again

I use these to put my recycling in before taking them down to the wheelie bin. Saves my legs having to keep running up and down stairs every time I use a tin. When it's full I just pop the whole bag full in the wheelie bin to recycle that too!

You're always left wondering how robust these things are when purchasing online, so that's what I'm going to focus on here. The paper is thicker than cheaper bags and feels like it has some strength to it. The seams are well adhered together too. Now obviously if you were to get the bag wet in any way that strength is going to be compromised really quickly. Dry goods though should mostly be fine in this given the capacity. I tried today with a 2 litre bottle of water and it held just fine. The handles are made from string which is stuck inside the bag using an adhesive strip. The strip does add a little strength to the bag over all but with these types of handles I'm always left wondering how strong the adhesive is when I'm carrying stuff. Honestly, I usually end up carrying them by their base for fear of the handles giving way. I tested with the 2 litre bottle of water and they held fine, but that's a 2kg weight of water in a plastic bottle. I might do differently if I were carrying 2 litres of 25 year old single blend Scotch worth much more. Not bad bags at all. I'd order some more if I needed them.

Poor quality, very light and only ok to carry light items. Arrived in plastic bag, all creased like they had water damage. I don't recommend.

These arrived completely folded which affects the shape unfortunately and increases possibility of tearing sooner at the folds. They are very small, thin paper bags for lightweight food items. A 500ml water bottle would likely tear the bag. The handles are strong. They need to be flat packed for delivery to allow the bags to be reusable. Folding paper bags reduces lifespan due to tearing. I think they are average due to the state they arrived in. I took my sandwich and crisps to work in this bag and will reuse until torn.
