Very good little radio. Good range of the broadcast short wave bands.I find it very sensitive picks up many stations. On shortwave you have to find the correct times when various wavebands are at their busiest, there are times when little is happening, not the radios fault. Sound quality is fine, you can’t expect hi-fi from a small speaker, but it is very listenable. I have had some expensive audio products that fail in this area.I use this radio to quickly run through a waveband, find stations then find and identify them on a digital set. The tuning accuracy is excellent, especially given the price of the radio.Well worth the money.

Smaller than expected but amazing little radio, I live in Cornwall in UK, I was listening to what I thought was a Canadian or American shortwave station after a google search I think it’s an English speaking Chinese station in Beijing called round table, I don’t know 100% I’m no expert and I’ve only had the thing for a few hours but it’s aerial works well, I did experiment with attaching 2 meters of copper wire to the antenna but made little difference lol, I’ve had fun with it in the short time I’ve had it, good little starter radio if you have the patience to tune it in, it will also fit in your pocket, it’s similar size to the old walkmans from the past, or about the same size as 3 iPhones stacked on top of eachother so pretty small, I’ve come to understand that with all shortwave stations you will get some fuzz most of the time, mw and fm also works fine and much clearer, definitely recommend!

A well compact radio with good sound quality and value for money

I don’t think it is the fault of the radio but reception is so poor in my area that it renders this radio unusable. I can get very few stations and none to my taste. I bought it to use in the greenhouse while I am working. I don’t think there is any radio that would be suitable.

Smaller than expected but an excellent radio for the money, feels quite solid and well made. Sound quality is average due to the small size of the speaker. Very sensitive and pulls in loads of stations.

Not much to like. FM ability indoors is very poor. Doesn't tune into frequencies for Aircraft or Shipping. AM ie medium wave MW pulls in a few stations none of which appeal to me. SW Short Wave all 10 bands aren't capable of picking up more than about 4 far eastern stations very scratchily and a couple of Spanish sounding talk stations. Nothing like the SWave of the 1980s where you could pick up really interesting stattions from Ireland, Russia, South America even Australia on a fine weather nights. I've not been at all impressed with this and should have bought something costing twice the price or more to get true functionality. So it's one for the back of the cupboard sadly.Also it fails to function when using a 3volt generic charger with a fitting jack. At least it goes when using rechargeable batteries - I wouldn't recommend this radio as a serious option at all.

Have bought two of these , so liked the first one. Easy on/off slider switch. Easy to insert batteries (2). Does not seem to use much power but early days and I have yet to use for prolonged periods eg 1hr play. Excellent quality speech for such a small/cheap product.

Has many good features namely good sound quality for a shirt pocket sized radio, and very good sensitivity and selectivity on AM, though not without its quirks, for example the volume control is touchy. Its lower price point makes it a good travel companion.
