I got the book to look at some of the parallels that are being spoken about in our political environment and wow, this work of art was truly a great read and holds many interesting parallels to our world today.

Good size, comfy to hold. Hood font and print size. Love it.

I've heard a lot about this book, and finally decided to buy it. It reads like a sci-fi at first, but it doesn't take long before you realize that you're reading a book written by a true prophet. Book was written in 1947, and you will find that governments around the world today have ensnared their citizens by using the tactics of this book.

"1984" by George Orwell deserves its place as a classic in the realm of dystopian literature, and I'm giving it a solid four stars for its enduring relevance and thought-provoking themes.This novel is a stark and chilling portrayal of a totalitarian society where Big Brother watches your every move, and individual freedom is but a distant memory. George Orwell's ability to craft a dystopian world that is both frighteningly believable and thought-provoking is commendable. The bleakness of the society he depicts is a powerful warning about the dangers of surveillance, censorship, and the manipulation of truth.Winston Smith, the protagonist, is a character whose inner turmoil and rebellion against the Party's oppressive regime are both relatable and engaging. His journey of self-discovery and resistance is at the heart of the narrative and keeps the reader invested.Orwell's writing style is clear and evocative, and his ability to convey the bleakness of the world he envisions is masterful. The use of Newspeak, the Party's language designed to limit thought and expression, is a brilliant literary device that adds depth to the story.What keeps this review from being a full five stars is the heavy-handedness of some of the themes and the unrelenting darkness of the narrative. Great book and a little scary

When I bought this book I didn’t realize the forward was in Italian. That’s on me for not doing my research. The story itself is in English.Incredible book. For a book that was written so long ago, the author was very forward-thinking. Kinda makes you worry about some of the stuff you see happening in the world today.

This is all about the deep state. While written many years ago, this is so current that it blows the mind. A must read for anyone interested in what the left is doing to establish total control over people's lives and minds.

O livro mostra de maneira espetacular como seria uma sociedade dos sonhos dos comunistas, eles sempre se escondem atrás do sonho da sociedade perfeita mais o final é sempre o mesmo: ditadura e censura um pequeno grupo doutrinando e esmagando a maioria e vivendo uma vida de privilégios.
